Hello there,
I have a few suggestions for yah. Firstly, I think it would benefit the organizational appearance of your site if it was a bit wider. Right now it looks too compact and squished together, with tons of dead space on the sides; especially so on a larger screen. It's at like a 750px right now? I'd suggest putting it at least at 1000px with that side table being so wide. There is also the problem of the text in the left side of your board list touches the edge, which adds to the squished feeling of your forum. I understand wanting things to be compact and efficient, but there is a line where things stop looking neat and orderly. Space can be good if not used in excessive quantities. Increasing the width of the forum would also help the look of your shop as right now it looks like you could almost fit a 3rd item on the line but not quite, so there's just this black dead space.
Mentioning the side table, it is very wide but very short height wise. I know your site main isn't that tall either, but with how much of the usable width it takes up I think it would look much better if it was taller (if not a bit skinnier). This could easily be done by just increasing the height of the shout box area, and adding padding into the other tables. Considering this with the rest of my feedback may be a bit challenging... and also note that I am not a fan of side tables to begin with so have a bit of a bias you should take into consideration.
As for the welcome text in the side table... I don't think it needs to be bold. It's going to be read once per person and that's it. Personally I've never been a fan of welcome messages because of this reason. I almost think you would be better off moving the stuff from your dynamic table into the side table instead of having both taking up so much real estate on your forum. These things aren't going to be read often and for most will only be glanced at once.
Then there is the affiliates. With how tiny a marquee area they already have, it is very difficult to know what's there when they're scrolling by so quick. I realize there is a 'show all' option, but its the rapid speed of flashy things flying by that draws my attention away from everything else, and then I can't read or reliably click them which causes frustration. You might as well have them all static at that point, it would be much more effective.
Notes on the dynamic table: there is nothing under your 'Info on Roleplay' tab that I can see. Should either remove the tab or get something in there. Also, the tab is very plain and doesn't really stand apart from the board list of your forum. I would suggest you spice up the content in that tabbed table. Centering everything does not necessarily make it nice and easy to read. Perhaps including the small avatars of the notable admin/moderators next to their name and position, and then having the entire thing in a table so that you can utilize all the horizontal space. Put all the co-admin on the left and then the global moderator(s) and others on the right. For the shoutbox rules having each better separated, maybe in an actual list..? , would be more visually appealing. As well as lining them up instead of just centering. You could add a 100px left padding or something along that lines so that the list is more in the center but all line up with each other. Since your forum is a set pixel width it shouldn't be difficult to set it up nicely.
Next up is the colors. I like the general idea of the scheme, is very interesting and different than the mass of others I see around. A bit striking and refreshing. However what I don't like is the stark contrast of black vs. white. After a little while everything just kind of seems too over saturated and becomes hard to look at. You may want to consider making the text an off-white, such as an 'EEEEEE' or some sort of other light grey. I also wouldn't mind seeing some difference mixed in between the boards and titles instead of just everything is black. Matching the title bars to the sub-board background color might be good. Just everything black gets a bit boring and hard to distinguish when one thing ends and another thing begins.
Also a note, I'm not sure I'm a fan of having the category titles on the right side. This may just be because everything is all black and white so there's little distinguishing them from the bulk of everything else but, they're hard to find on first glance.
Finally, one thing that I think would bother me was I a member... How can you tell when a new post has been made in a board?
Hope this helps! Good luck.
