I've done a quick search but can't seem to find anything, even though I know this has been brought up before - clearly I have weak googlefu
Basically I'm wanting to reposition the notification bubbles for the Profile and Messages buttons. My nav bar is at the very top of the screen, so when they pop up the top half is cut off. All I'm wanting to do is move them underneath the menu buttons, but a quick play hasn't uite got me where I want to be. I've messed around with the #navigation-menu div.tip-holder lines of the style sheet, but the thing that's annoying me the most is the 'tail' of the bubble. I obviously want it pointing up (or gone all together) while it's underneath the nav bar, but I can't quite figure out how. Rather annoying really, because I sure that a year or so ago I could have done it in my sleep. =[
Anyway, does anyone happen to know where I'm going wrong? =]

I appreciate the effort, but from what I can see this (aside from being for the sticky menu, which mine isn't) would just add padding at the top to give the bubbles extra room, while I'm trying to reposition and restyle them while keeping my nav bar where it is. =/ ed; AHA! Further playing showed that by getting rid of (or commenting out) this line got rid of the arrow/tail/tip/whatever. #navigation-menu div.tip-holder span.tip { border-top: 4px solid @nav_bar_bubble_background; border-left: 4px solid transparent; border-right: 4px solid transparent; position: absolute; left: 6px; }Crisis averted! =]

Perhaps too late, as you have already solved the problem, but there is also a bit about changing the notifications bubbles in Smangii's Theme Guide. It might help other people who stumble across this topic, with the same problem (:
