As the world mourned the shocking assassination of US President John F. Kennedy, who was killed 51 years ago yesterday, a man known as "The Doctor" walked out of a blue British police box for the first time on November 23, 1963.
Any Whovians here?
Who is your favorite "Doctor"?
What is your favorite episode?
How do you show the world you are a Whovian?

My favourite doctor is david tennants doctor, but I don't really count myself as a Whovian per se

Despite being an 80's child I never really watched it back then (I doubt I knew how long the program had been going by then either) - it just didn't appeal to me, not sure why. I think it's by the late 80's before I got old enough to appreciate it. I had watched the non-official, non-canon Peter Cushing films growing up and loved those so knew a relatively small bit by the time I came to see it. Fast forward to the TV movie with Paul McGann and for all it's good - and bad points I enjoyed it but neither loved or hated it. I didn't think about it again until the re-launch in 2005. I gave it a go remembering the non-canon films and the tv movie and quickly fell for it. "By Dalek" I was hooked, by parallel Torchwood in series two I was fan-boying, I had become an over-night fan.
My favorite Doctor is still Tenant, ironic as I loved Eccleston's Doctor and really didn't like the look of Tennant at first. Of course the more I watched the more I loved Tennant's doctor and the relaunch even got wandering about the past and me wanting to watch some of the previous Doctors. Seen some of the 2nd Doctor (Loved), Some Pertwee (Okay), Some Baker (Loved), bit of Davison (Suprisingly liked) not much of C.Baker or McCoy. Though I always loved the regeneration from Davison to Baker and that opening line by C. Baker.
Episodes it's hard to narrow it down to just one, Dalek is up there, The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances, School reunion, Blink of course, and - after watching it yet again; I realized just how much I loved Angels Take Manhattan.

Eleven.
Vincent & The Doctor. Fewer better episodes of anything, not just Dr Who.

If you play the online MMO, Wizard 101, and you go into the section called Marleybone (a steampunk Victorian England themed world) look for Scotland Yard headquarters. In a lawn in front of the building is an anthromorphic dog known as "The Professor" who wears a familiar outfit, and is standing next to a red British police box.

Matt Smith <3 <3
The Angels take Manhattan might be my favorite episode (or one of).
Sidenote: I've only seen the first episode of the current series and just had no interest to continue after that monstrosity of an episode; no idea how I feel about Capaldi yet.

I've kinda renewed my interest in comics. Have any of you Whovians read the comic with the current Doctor?

I've only seen the newer episodes of Doctor Who. Liked Christopher Eccleston (Rose was awesome), Loved David Tennant (didn't like Donna though), thought Matt Smith's stuff was incredibly hit and miss (especially his last season or two). Amy and Rory were the best companions I've seen yet, River was meh, Claire is boring.
I've only seen the first 2 episodes of the Peter Capaldi's doctor, and I really wasn't feeling them. I've heard the finale was pretty terrible, so I don't know if I'm going to bother watching it anymore.
My top 5 episodes are: 1. Blink 2. Human Nature/The Family of Blood 3. Vincent and the Doctor 4. The End of Time 5. The Girl Who Waited
Lots of fun episodes with Eccleston, I just can't think of an of their names.

I haven't seen Capaldi's doctor or much of the original DW, and I certainly would not call myself a 'whovian' BUT Eleven is 'my' doctor, if that makes sense. Nine follows very closely, followed by Ten.
That said, I don't like the ... director's direction Eleven took in comparison to Nine and Ten (esp. Nine) but for all the issues I have with it Matt Smith did an excellent job with what he was given.

Eleven. Vincent & The Doctor. Fewer better episodes of anything, not just Dr Who. I knew we could be friends. That is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE episode. I have the exploding Tardis painting - poster on my wall. I started the series on Eleven, my roommate at the time had already powered through 9 & 10, so we sat on the floor of our apartment and we started the series from there. I've gone back and I've watched a great deal of the other episodes, from seasons before but I haven't binge watched them, but I still get pulled a lot towards eleven, because he I identify as my doctor.
