Thread Pagination

I've noticed that the thread pagination doesn't work consistently. Above is an link to a thread with multiple pages. I get it to change pages maybe twice and then it stops working. If I refresh, then I can get it to work again for one or two changes.

Hi blc,

There was a similar thread that came up on this a couple of weeks ago, and the problem was caused by a plugin. Unfortunately though I can't recall at the moment which plugin in particular it was. I'll see if I can find that thread.

In the meantime, can you try disabling any plugins you've installed recently since you started having the issue and see if it works out? You should be able to narrow it down from there

I updated all the plug ins the other day and that was a ton of them.

But, I'll start disabing some and see what happens. I had this issue at my site quite some time back and it too was a plug in but I don't recall which one.

Sounds good. I found the thread I remembered, and the issue for them was from the Post Quarantine plugin which just they just needed to update the plugin to the newest version. Doesn't look like you have that plugin installed though, so it would seem to be caused by a different one.

Yeah, I found it. But here's the weird thing. Its the Level Up Meter. But, I have the Level Up Meter on my site and its not causing this problem at my site. We are both using the same version 1.2.3

So, now I'm really confused.

It's possible that it could be a conflict issue with another plugin that isn't being used on the forum where the pagination works fine at. You could try moving the plugin above all others and see if that helps

I just left a post for Wormo in the support thread for that plug in, but will try moving the plug in around... ok, I moved it a couple of times and that didn't help. But that reminds of something else.

Why do the plug ins move around? I noticed this at my site as well when I was troubleshooting another plug in with Todge. I would put a particular plug in at a certain spot and when I would go back to make sure it was under a certain plug in, the darn thing had moved.

I just experienced this moving plug in business with this one! LOL

It shouldn't move, unless done so by a staff member. Otherwise the placement you set it will be the order they load

They move. On my site, I'm the only one with access and at Gibby's I'm the only one there doing this now to test it. It moved.

Anyway, I just went through all her plug ins compared to mine and disabled each different one from mine and nothing. I can't determine which one might be conflicting with the Level Up Meter.

It was worth checking at least. Hopefully Wormo will be able to assist further with it if you already brought it to his attention

I was wondering. Does it have to be a plug in that is causing the conflict? Could it be some added code doing it?

Plugins could conflict with regular codes, since plugins are just packaged codes, but I did some testing on your forum and found that the issue was still present even with the Headers & Footers as well as custom theme template modifications disable. That helped to narrow it down to just the plugins.
