Forum URL: godus.boards.netI've been looking in the settings for a way to change the appearance of the category bars on my forum. I'm wondering if it is possible to make them wider and to increase the font size of the text in them. I have found settings to increase font size for other things but not for the category bars. Is there a setting? I'm also wondering if it might be possible to customize the appearance further, perhaps with images instead of styling. Here's an image of what I'm referring to.

Hi, Lord Ba'al,
The Category areas are called Title Bars.
The CSS designation for them is
.container>.title-bar .
You can add an image by adding the following to the bottom of your CSS Style Sheet ~
.container>.title-bar { background-image: url(http://); background-repeat: repeat-x; background-position: center; } Of course, you would add your image URL address after "http://", and whether that image is to repeat or not repeat, and where you wish the image to be placed.
Or you can change them in your Visual Editor Tab (Admin Panel > Themes > Advanced Style & CSS > Visual Editor Tab)
Under the "Forum" section, you'll see "Body". Click on that. There you'll see "Title Bars" and the area to fill in an image, text size, etc.

Thanks ♥ ℒʊ√ ♥. I have been playing around with some different settings for the title bars. I got them to look like this. Then I changed the setting for Background Position and it looked like this. I didn't like it so I changed the Background Position setting back to "left center" which it was originally before I changed it. For some reason the styling did not revert back to the original look and it is now stuck no matter what I do. Can anyone help me resolve this?

Hmmm... The problem seems to be resolved now. I changed the Background Attachment property to "Scroll with page" instead of "Fixed". I don't see why that would make any difference though. When I change it back to fixed the problem reoccurs and when I then change it back to scroll with page it is gone again. What does this property actually do?

fixed makes the background image stay in its initial spot in the browser window at all times, essentially causing it to follow you up and down the page (like the PBN bar at the bottom right of the forum and how it's always in the same place regardless of where you scroll).
scroll makes the background image stay completely static, so when you scroll it doesn't follow you.

Thanks for explaining Brian. It kinda feels like it does exactly the opposite of what I'd expect, but I guess that's a point of view issue. I'm having a lot of trouble adjusting parts of the look of my testing forum. It seems when I change one thing it also influences other things. And when I get something to look like what I want and then hover over it with the mouse it changes completely while there is no hover property in the settings. Is there a complete manual for the advanced styles & css somewhere?
