First off, I don't really know whether to put this in the theme board or coding board as I'm a bit confused. Since this is a theme by Stinky666 I just placed this here. Please be patient with me as I will be asking assistance in a few areas, mainly: banner, avatar and mini-profile. Here's site which is under construction atm: danmachixdungeons.proboards.com/1. The first one I'd like to ask is how can I place a banner (different from the ninja on the left side) above the categories & boards? I've always loved making big banners above the boards, and I know that it can be done somehow with coding in the headers/footers part. 2. Is it possible to replace the ninja on the left side (not with a different picture) but with an avatar anywhere code? (does the code still exist for v5?) It'd be really awesome if it could be replaced by the avatar instead and be sandwiched with a sort of "Welcome!" on top and the name of the poster below the image? 3. I really love the theme and I really fell in love with it but I'd really like to make use of the Mini-Profile BG and Text Color and Mini-Mini Profile Code. I tried going to the Layout Template of the Theme and reset it to default but it appeared as such: So I really don't know how to go about it xD Any kind of help will be really really appreciated. Thank you in advance!

If this isn't what you mean, could you elaborate for me to help me understand? 3. I've attempted the background for mini profiles and can't get it working for some stupid reason. Hopefully I can tag someone like Brian, David Clark to see if they can help. The code I tried, and I assume the original poster means is support.proboards.com/thread/484700/allowing-members-image-profile-tweaksI have the custom field set up already if you wish to test it yourself on blueninjatheme.proboards.com to get it working. If it makes it faster for anyone who can (or tries) to help, then the mini profile coding is below: {if $[user.is_staff] } <table border="1" id="mini-table-staff"> <tr> <td class="mini-cell-av"> {if What text colour exactly are you trying to change? Also I am not sure what you're referring to when you say Mini Profile Code. Could you be more specific? Thanks

Hopefully I can tag someone like Brian Ordonez, David Clark to see if they can help. The code I tried, and I assume the original poster means is support.proboards.com/thread/484700/allowing-members-image-profile-tweaksI have the custom field set up already if you wish to test it yourself on blueninjatheme.proboards.com to get it working. Hi Stinky666 ! And again thank you for replying to my queries and requests. 1. Oh so that's where it was! XD Sorry really new to V5, last time I made a site it was still V4 XD One more thing, is there a specific length for the banner as I'm not really sure what it is, as you can see the temporary one I used in the site, it's being repeated. xD 2. Oh sorry if I'm a bit vague. I meant to say, instead of the "blue ninja theme" theme avatar on the left sidebar, if it can be replaced by the members own uploaded avatars that they are using at the moment. In version 4, it was through Subdevo's Avatar Anywhere code wherein it was used. It also allowed for logging in on any part of the forum you put it in (mostly on sidetables). The codes look like this: Global Footer: <script type="text/javascript"> /* Avatar Anywhere by SubDevo */ /* Global Footer - Please leave this header intact. Do not repost. */ /* interoceandesigns.com or lsdp.proboards.com */
var defAv="http://i1138./n527/gokuastro/Anime/Male/Sakre2.png"; // Default Avatar URL
var k=location.href,n=document.images,x=-1,isG=(pb_username=="Guest")?1:0; if(/action=viewprofile$/.test(k)||(/profile&user=(.+?)$/.test(k)&& RegExp.$1==pb_username)){ while(n[++x]){ if(n[x].alt=="[avatar]"){ document.cookie=pb_username+"_avatar="+n[x].src+"@; expires=Sat, 17 Jan 2050 12:12:12 UTC; path=/"; break; }}} n=document.getElementById("my_avatar"); k=(new RegExp(pb_username+"_avatar=(.+?)@","i").test(document.cookie)&& !isG)?RegExp.$1:defAv; if(n&&k.indexOf("http:")==0){ k="<img border='0' alt='View Profile' src='"+k+"'/>"; n.innerHTML=(isG)?k:"<a href='index.cgi?action=viewprofile' title='View Profile'>"+k+"</a>"; } </script>
<script type="text/javascript"> /* Member Information Anywhere by SubDevo */ /* Global Footer - Please leave this header intact. Do not repost. */ /* [url]http://interoceandesigns.com[/url] or [url]http://lsdp.proboards.com[/url] */
function gID(a,b){var n=document.getElementById(a); if(n){n.innerHTML=b;}} var n=document.getElementsByTagName("font"),m="<a href='index.cgi?action=",a,x=0; while(!(n[x].parentNode.nodeName=="P"&&/Hey,\s|Welcome\s/.test(n[x].innerHTML))&&x<n.length){x++;} if(pb_username!="Guest"){ var pmMsg; a=n[x].getElementsByTagName("a")[0]; pmMsg="("+m+"pm'>"+a.innerHTML.split(" ")[0]+" total | "+a.nextSibling.data.split(" ")[1]+" new</a>)"; }else{pmMsg="("+m+"login'>Login</a>"+" | "+m+"register'>Register</a>)";} gID("my_time",n[x].lastChild.data); gID("my_name",pb_displayname); gID("my_PMs",pmMsg); </script> Global Header: <!-- ===== BOX #1 START ===== --> <br><br> <table id="sidetables" cellpadding="4px" class="bordercolor" cellspacing="1"> <tr><font size="7" face="courier new" color="bbbbbb">LOGIN</font><br> <td align="center" class="titlebg"> [span style="font-size:10pt;"]</td></tr>[/span] <tr><td class="windowbg"><center> <font face="courier new" size="5px"> [span style="font-size:10pt;"]<div id="my_name"></div>[/span] </font> <div id="my_avatar"></div> <div class="usertext" id="my_PMs"></div>
<form action="/index.cgi" method="post" name="loginform" onSubmit="disable(this)" target="_top">
<font size="1"> <input type="hidden" value="/index.cgi" name="redirect"> <input type="hidden" name="action" value="login2"> <center><input type="text" name="username" value="user" size="5" tabindex="1" maxlength="18" ><input type="password" name="password" value="pass" size="5" tabindex="2"><input type="submit" value="go" tabindex="4"></center></form></center> BTW, not saying for you to reproduce the code. But I hope my explanation of that cleared the misunderstanding. Would my request be possible? 3. Sorry again for not saying it. It's the Mini-Profile BG and Text Color and Mini-Mini Profile Code by Wormopolis that I was talking about. What you linked is nice but it's not quite what I had in mind as it will make it look cluttered. With regards to an example of the mini-profile look I was thinking of, I'd like it to be like this (example used is from leif 's site): That when I hover over it, the Mini-Mini profile code by wormopolis kicks in. so it can show something like this: STATUS | STR | G | 302 | DEX | H | 267 | END | G | 368 | AGI | H | 221 | MAG | H | 101 |
SKILL | 1. Luminous Edge 2. Far Sight |
MAGIC | 1. Great Ravine 2. N/A |
Again sorry if I'm a bit demanding. I really want to have the perfect site for this amazing anime. I really hope you guys can help me Thanks!

1. You banner's dimensions are 860x336px (860 width x 336 height). So, you need to set your Banner Height to that of the image, in this case 336px. That should definitely stop any repeating happening. In future if you don't have an image editing program, you can right click the image and go to properties to find out the dimensions. If you use Chrome, by default you can't select properties, you need to install an extension (free - check their database if so). I think all other browsers (or most) have the option to view properties though. 2. Ohh okay I completely understand now - just based on your first part of the new post. In Admin > Themes > Layout Templates > Forum Wrapper, go to line 17 and replace the entire line with the following: $[current_user.avatar] The width of the sidebar is 150px, so I highly recommend not allowing people to use an avatar larger than that 3. I assume this is a Plugin by Wormopolis ? If so hopefully we can have him reply to see if he can get it to work with my theme since he is by far much much better at coding than me.

Part of the problem with seeking plugins, is that they have to kinda know where things are to begin with. If you change the class of the mini-profile, the plugin doesnt even have a box to start in.

Oh I do have Photoshop and I use it to edit images. I just didn't know if there's a predetermined width and height that I'd have to follow. Thank you for providing it 2. Well I did what you asked but somehow it resizes it, the size I wanted was 350 height and 150 width but...it shows up like this: 3. Anyway, Wormopolis any suggestions on how this can be fixed? XD

Thank you for your patience Wormopolis and hmm, so what I had in mind is not possible then? Hmmm...your code was actually perfect for it albeit, I wanted to make tables on the info that will popout. If so, is there a way that I can at least make the normal view work out?

Hi Panda, apologies for the late response. You've edited the avatar somewhere to reduce the size (in posts etc), so it's also affecting the avatar on the side area. I can't for the life of me remember how to target that specific one and not any of the others, so hopefully (again) someone like Wormopolis can help witht hat.

Wormo's Mini-Profile

Post by Wormopolis on Jul 8, 2015 21:21:55 GMT -8
If you can get the mini profile to look like what you want it to look like on the popout, then the plugin will run afterwards to show the minfied version. If it isn't, then you might have to add "mini-profile" into the classname so it can target it.
