Adding word links in your posts or signature An example of a word link would be the following: ProBoards Free ForumsThis allows you to have a word or set of words to link to an external website. An easy way to do this would be to click the BBCode tag found just above the message area when typing a post. Once clicked, a pop-up will appear asking you for two things: - Text - This is the text you want to have a link in your post.
- URL - This is the web address that you want people to be taken to when the link is clicked.
Once that is filled in, click the "Create Link" button in the pop-up window and you should see the text appear within your message area. If you are wanting to have a word link in your signature area, use the following as a template to add that into your profile area: [a href="http://www.proboards.com"]ProBoards Free Forums[/a] Using the above, replace the proboards.com link with the web address to the website that you want people to be taken to when they click on your word link. Next, replace the ProBoards Free Forums text with the words that you want to display in your signature.
