Since I am here, I'll do a quick critique of your site:
The nearly neon green is kind of a hard color to work with for anyone so it is no surprise the blue on the green is pretty hard on the eyes. I would suggest simply using black since the blue isn't really tying in any other colors or maybe even pure white to pick up the body background color. Plus the pale blue (date) is especially hard to read. Actually, most all your text is hard to read. Your menu text and category titles on that image background just kind of blends in.
The body background color (the dots) just seems to not fit a cat clan type role play. That kind of a pale lavender color to me doesn't go with anything, plus is has that washed out look which is a sharp contrast to the very green container background color, maybe to much of a contrast. I actually think you may be better off with a flat color for a background like a dark gray. On second thought, you have such a nice image that is lost in your title background, perhaps use that as the body background but maybe you wouldn't even see the cat at all? Hmmm. That said, if you are intent on using it as the behind your menu and cat title background , may I suggest you slice it so you can see the cats eyes. Otherwise, you really don't know it is a cat except for the fact your site name suggest it is a cat.
In case it helps in some way, the colors in your image with the cat has these colors in it that you could play around with for your forum colors:
#bfe053 (a green that matches the greens in your image and isn't so hard on the eyes)
#7e876c (a gray and actually any shade of gray would work with that image)
#a29f34 (a goldish in the leaves)
#d7eba6 (super pale green)
#000000 (black which is in the tree trunk or a very dark gray)
Just a couple more suggestions:
Instead of having a list of things right in the description of the board for applications, which make the board have tons of empty space, why not just give them a sample right in a post in the board that they can copy and use? Making each board shorter in height means less scrolling and that is a plus always!
I'm also confused why there are super long links in some of the boards. Whatever the reason, it looks messy and like it is a mistake and I hope it is. I'm also sure you noticed in this category, 'Winterclan, the wise and intelligent', the long links make the Last Post info cut off and bunched up so the board is super tall.
Rules, are there any rules so a new member knows what kind of role play your are running and the do's and don'ts? I think having ground rules no matter how simple or few, is a must so if you ever need to give out warnings, you can refer to the rules as your justification for the warning.
To wrap this up, I think what I like most is the image you can't see but I do like the idea of having the image as a background in those areas. I haven't seen that done in a while so that kind of makes your site unique. I'm sorry if my critique sounds harsh and I'm not finding a lot I like but I tell you this simply because I do really want to help and also keep in mind, I'm just one person so my opinion isn't all that important.
