blatantly copies my other post out of sheer laziness. shhhh
heylo! i was wondering if there's any way to customize the way that likes appear! i'm workin' on a splatoon themed site, so i thought it'd be kinda cool to change the text from being 'so and so likes this' to 'so and so gave this a booyah' or something of the like. it's super minor, but i'm a sucker for details like that. i know i've seen something like that done somewhere else, but i can't for the life of me figure out how to do it myself, so i thought i'd go ahead and ask for help. it's totally cool if there's not any way to do it, but i figured i'd try my luck before completely giving up on it!
thanks in advance for the help!! ( ´ ? ` )b

( ´ ? ` )b You can just add something like this to the bottom of your "Thread>Post List" template: <script> $(".posts .likes").text(function () { return $(this).text().replace("likes this", "booyah you"); }); </script> If you wanted it to show in their notifications or change how the notifications are worded you'd do the same but it would go in your notifications template. (Here I replaced the likes and quoted.) <script> $(".notifications.list span").text(function () { return $(this).text().replace("liked", "booyah'd"); }); $(".notifications.list span").text(function () { return $(this).text().replace("quoted", "hailed"); }); </script>
