I am requesting help. I spent time looking at the css and html box table on w3schools website. Link to w3schoolsI am looking to add a small box model with borders and margins. I would like to be underneath the banner. The purpose would be for adding a few small items, such as text, links or small images. No matter what I tried failed to come out correctly.

Heya! Hope you're having a good new year so far! <3 I can certainly help with this, it's easier than you might think, though the structure can depend on what you want to add to the box. Did you want it a fixed width and height, regardless of what was put in there? Or did you want it to scale as more stuff is added? Be as detailed as you like, lemme know what you want Sketch something out if you're able, perhaps with a screenshot of your forum and where you want the box. Chris ~x~

Chris ~x~ Azayles: Thank you for your reply. Would it be possible to add it in the main or the global header? Would the small box model work better if it took the place of my banner? I normally do not use banners. I would like to add an various text and perhaps a clickable image -link. I would like to scale as more gets added. I would like to understand what static and overflow means. I would something that would not interfere with my navigation bar's tree menu. I do not want to advertise. I will pm you my forum link. Okay. I will do my best to answer your remaining questions asap.

Okay. I will do my best to answer your remaining questions asap. Looks like Azayles got busy so here is a quick box: Where you want it is up to you but you can put it in your global headers if you want it to appear on all themes. If you want it somewhere else, let me know. It should expanding in height as you add text and more things but you can change the width where it says 500px if you want it wider or less wide. <style> #sm_box_wrapper{ margin:auto; width:500px; background-color: #ffbbcc;padding:18px; } #inner_box{ background-color: #777777; font-size:10px; font-family:arial; color: #000000; padding:8px; } </style>
<div id="sm_box_wrapper"> <div id="inner_box"> Content here<br> <a href="http://link.com">Regular Link</a><br> <a href="http://link.com"><img scr="http://imagehere.png"></a><br> </div> </div>
I put regular text in there, a text link and a clickable image link so you get an idea how to do it. As far as your static and overflow. Static just means it isn't moving as opposed to say a marquee that moves. I think a lot of people use those two words when they have an affiliate table. Some of their affiliates will be in a spot, others may have a scroll bar to move to see all the affiliates (that's using overflow) and other parts of the table might have a marquee. So for example, if you wanted to get a scroll bar when your text is more than you want to show, you'd do something like this: <div style="width:500px;height:200px; overflow:auto;"> Lots of content here </div> The above would produce a scrollbar when your content exceeds the 200px height:
