LMAO Azy nearly lost all of his hair working out the time Timezone thing for the HogEx time clock, birthdays custom things and more! David Clark , that video cracked us both up, you should totally watch that. And next time, don't use a plugin, ask us and we'll give you our code hahahaha It's starting to grow back in places, and my therapist has said I'm making good progress! But anyway Yeah David Clark , I'm on Codepen, and followed you on there So check out my clock Pens for some ideas We got chu covered!

That video is awesome, Azy! Gave me some massive smiles and a good laugh! Thank you! As for this update/announcement coming, I just realized I will be at the beginning of my shift today when it comes out without a smart phone or internet access. So I will just have to wait. Too bad I'm REALLY curious.

Too bad I'm REALLY curious. Thanks, MI! Yeah Tom Scott does some amazing vids, I love his passion and his humour It looks like the phoenix thing happens today, 10am local time. And it is local time 'cause the plugin is using the raw Date() method with not much else doing apart from extracting hours, minutes, seconds and so on from that. And in the best way either lol. (Note to clock plugin devs, don't use millisecond time for long time intervals if you want any sort of accuracy! ) Edit: use this! www.timeanddate.com/countdown/launch?iso=20160208T10&p0=137&msg=Phoenix+Rising&font=slab

Note to clock plugin devs, don't use millisecond time for long time intervals if you want any sort of accuracy! Using Date.getTime() (i.e. millisecond time) is arguably the only way to implement a reliable timer using client-side code. The value represents a unique, time-zone-independent time coordinate. The only instance in which it will convert into an inaccurate time/date is if the system clock isn't properly set/synchronized, but that's the end user's problem.

You are right What I mean is taking the raw millisecond time and continually dividing it down to get days, months and years, with people trying to get years by calculating the number of milliseconds in an average year. of course this causes drift errors 'cause it won't account for leap years or daylight savings or anything else. And yet I've seen people use it to calculate ages and things. It gets messy quick "Congratulations on your 36.999997356th Birthday!" for example.

I spent far longer on my age calculator for HogEx that I would have liked, every site giving me different ideas to how many days were in a year Is it 364.25, or 364.247? And so on In the end I thought sod this, what's the current year, subtract the birth year from this, that's the age. If the date and month of birth has already passed, tremendous. We're done. Otherwise just subtract 1.

Where can I read about what this is, and whether or not it will affect my two forums? click the phoenix at the top, and sign up, it is unlikely to affect your forum if it's a forum feature, you would have the option to use or not. i have no idea what it is though, so i'm signed up
