Erik Mouse, you can download a free version of MalwareBytes, or purchase the premium version for $24.95/year. I've been using the premium version for years and it's done an outstanding job for me. It works in real-time to stop malware from getting into your computer and I've found it to be very user-friendly. You can find it HERE.

I'm already using the free version of MalwareBytes Anti-Malware, which I find nothing when I run a scan with it.

I never saw anything like that showing up whenever I get forwarded from a ProBoards forum to somewhere for an "Urgent Firefox Update" I apologize if I read that wrong, but didn't you earlier in the thread on the first page say this alert showed up? Also try looking here, see if there is anything you may not have tried fixingcomputervirus.blogspot.com/2015/09/how-to-get-rid-of-zmoatadscom-pop-up.htmlMoatAds is a virus, so something did most likely successfully install its self. Do you have autorun enabled on files downloaded that the computer "thinks" is safe? Also, I know Adblock is highly discouraged on Proboards, but sometimes Adblock can prevent things like redirects from happening. I am not telling you to use it on proboards, but for if your browser supports said plugin, I highly suggest you install it.

I have checked the first page of this thread and that one time I did get a stopped responding message from js.moatads.com was a long while ago with something different, and it hasn't happened again with the being forwarded away to Urgent Firefox update pages issue I have been having. I have no idea if I have autorun enabled on anything or not for that matter. Also, I know Adblock is highly discouraged on Proboards, but sometimes Adblock can prevent things like redirects from happening. I am not telling you to use it on proboards, but for if your browser supports said plugin, I highly suggest you install it. I know that Adblock is highly discouraged here and even though I have an Adblock, Proboards is still exempted from it at this time.

Being that it did show up, there must still be something running on your computer containing the virus regardless of it no longer showing up. It seems to hangout in the Temporary Internet Files, so I suggest deleting your Temp Internet Files and Clear your cookies. (If you haven't already done so).

For clarification: Adblock is more than just "highly discouraged", it is against ToS to use Adblock as it prevents revenue from being generated.

I would hate to have to bump a older topic of mine, but I think the problem might up started up again on my laptop. I had tried to report the ad I think caused it via my laptop, but got a message saying "No Ad To Report" for some reason and not sure why that could still be happening. Below is a screenshot of where I was forwarded to this time.

There is nothing to suggest that this new issue has anything to do with the now multiple month old discussions in this thread.
