Sad to say, but I'm boycotting this year. While they have the right to do what they're doing in their protest, they shouldn't be doing it like they are. They are people in the spotlight. They should be trying to help resolve the racial divide in this country, not make it worse.

The Vikings are now on a 3rd string QB, but they played surprisingly well today. I was expecting a terrible game like last week. Hopefully Bradford will be back soon.

Not a good game for Carolina. Offense and defense were just asleep. Christian Mccaffrry had a good game finally, but unfortunately no one else really did. Cam in the first half inly threw the ball like 9 times for 20 yards? Something insanely low. Shula has to go. Same plays every time and a weak o-line to boot. We are not ready for New England next week, God that will be embarrassing.

Pretty good game for New England today. Pretty solid comeback at the end. We are definitely ready for Carolina next weekend. God that will be embarrassing.

I'm done as of today.

Wasn't that amazing???
DD and I watched it live. We had just gotten back in the house and turned on the game for the last five minutes.
It was fantastic. Really, really thought it would be going into OT.
And the icing on the cake was the team we beat!
YaY, Eagles. And YaY, NFL for not being bullied.

OK, another loss for the Bengals, but it was in overtime against the Packers in a game where Green got the ball and actual touchdowns happened, so I'll mark that as a solid improvement. That's an admittedly low bar. Next week they play the Browns, a team that is also 0-3 and also lost by only 3 points today. If Cincinnati doesn't win that game I will rage. Also: [Dalton], Marvin Lewis, and offensive coordinator whatshisidontcare can beg for change outside of Union Terminal, as far as I'm concerned. One down.

Love the Skins and love football, but not going to stand by while the NFL disrespects our flag and all of the brave people that have fought and died for it. The further down the ratings go, the more the NFL will realize it's catering to the wrong group. I love my country, and there's nothing wrong with that. Until the NFL wakes up, I won't watch a game.

Our country turned to the NFL at a time they needed them most.
To recruit for the military. Prior to that the players were not on the field for the anthem.
These players are honoring our troops who fought for their freedom of expression.
That freedom doesn't extend to only the feelings you approve.
Now, this is the thanks the NFL gets for answering the military's call in 2009 for help.

And they have every right to protest, just not at work. Can you or I do that at work without repercussions? No. The NFL shouldn't be above the law just because players make millions. There's a time and place for saying what you feel, on the field, do your job or millions of Americans like me won't watch, and basically, we pay their salaries.

Mmm, petulant man-babies with deep insecurities and a shallow self-worth tied too closely to the idol worship of community identity. Cry harder about some black folk who have done the absolute bare minimum to qualify as a protest by simply not standing, your salty tears are the sweet elixir of life.

And they have every right to protest, just not at work. Can you or I do that at work without repercussions? No. The NFL shouldn't be above the law just because players make millions. There's a time and place for saying what you feel, on the field, do your job or millions of Americans like me won't watch, and basically, we pay their salaries. Their employers say otherwise and are standing with them. So, a red herring argument. And since this is a practice that's only been in place at the behest of the military for 8 short years, the precedent is on the majority of the time when they were not a part of the anthem. And exactly what law are they breaking? The anthem and flag are not synonymous. The anthem can be played with or without the presence of the flag. Trump took his time calling out those carrying tiki torches in Charlottesville (and still hasn't done so adequately), but was quick to call members of the NFL, sons of b****. How presidential! And our so called leader said this slur ON THE JOB. A job that we, the public, employ and pay him.
We have true misery and suffering at an all time high due to Hurricanes ~ Texas, Florida, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands and the rest of the Caribbean islands where lives are forever changed. They don't have their basic needs met. No water; no food; no power. And this is what POTUS concerns himself with? SMDH. He acts like he is still on a reality series. "They should be fired". "You're fired".
These players have as much right to protest as Trump, the reality star, who questioned President's Obama's very birthright ~ when facts showed he was utterly, completely wrong. And that was American? That was respecting the person who held the highest office in this country? He showed no respect for the office of the President and yet he feels he has the right to question other people's motives towards our country??
A white President calling black players Sons of B*tches is a disgrace ~ not only to the players but to the mothers who bore them. These players are someone's son, someone's sibling, someone's father. They contribute to their communities. They step up in times of disaster. And to reduce them to "SOBs", says so much more about the POTUS than it does about these players.

I agree with Trump saying they should be fired for disrespecting the flag, and we don't pay him, he donates every pay check, just saying. I don't do politics, and I don't want them in my football game, so I'll choose the easy solution and not watch, as will a bunch of other football fans. Lot of money already lost this season by the NFL with ratings down and less attending games. Who needs it? I love the NFL, but I love my country and the flag I defended in the USAF and the Iraqi war more. To each their own, but until it stops, won't watch a game.
