I know this may look like a plug-in question, and it might end up being one, but I wanted to put it here so that you Reds see it. Overnight, all of the presents sent and received on 2 of my Forums have all disappeared. I know that it wasn't an admin who cleared the keys, because it happened on both forums and they are different admins. I'm the only common denominator, and it was working when I went to bed last night. Is there any way to recover all that data stored in those keys so that everyone's presents sent and received reappear? I've got a lot of really unhappy members right now after all the work they did to send all these gifts and now they're all gone.
HELP!

I don't suppose there's any way we could roll my Forums back to last night and recover that key data?

Further info: The plugin isn't performing now even after this apparent key clearing incident. Presents sent aren't received. I supposed I could reinstall and try again, but I've certainly lost faith in this. I don't want to do anything until I hear back from you guys. I hoping there is a chance this can be restored.
Oh, and I have a test forum with this running, and it appears to not have had any issue like my 2 real forums did. Could it be the shear amount of presents sent on the real forums has just overloaded the plugin?

Now a similar weird problem is happening with another plugin -- Scavenger Hunt. Players can see their prize count in their own mini profile, but everyone else's mini is showing a 0. This is happening on a forum of which I'm not a member too. See this thread: support.proboards.com/post/7071262/thread Could there have been some Proboards glitch that disturbed and is continuing to disturb plugins using keys and super keys?

Hi, m2marsh. I checked the forum's database and all of the plugin key data is still there. If something from the plugin is no longer present on the page you'll need to have the plugin author investigate the cause of the issue.

According to matej , this issue was fixed a couple of hours ago. However, on both of my forum, the Rudolph's Present plug-in is still not functioning. I guess I should more accurately say, all the presents sent and received by forum members appear to have been lost. Please advise if the fix hasn't really hit my forums yet, or if our data is lost and we need to start over.

m2marsh , Requires login / register to see. Can you go to a profile that should have presents and open the console (F12) and paste this in... Change the number 1 in the code to the profile ID you are viewing. console.dir(Rudolphs_Presents.api.data(1)._DATA) Either take a screen shot or copy and paste back here, that way I can tell you if the data exists or not.

Thank you peter . But I'm not at all versed in code. I've figured out my profile ID is 2. And I got to the console (F12) from my Profile. But where exactly do I paste that line into? What buttons do I click to get to where I paste? And I think I replace the .data(1) with .data(2) since I am profile ID 2 on that forum.

peter , I think I did it right. This is what I see: console.dir(Rudolphs_Presents.api.data(2)._DATA) VM205875:1 Array(4) 0 : {s: 1, t: 9} 1 : {u: 30, o: 0, s: 1, i: "5_22", n: "ellipooh"} 2 : {n: "norahloveslife", o: 0, u: 5, i: "12_8", s: 1} 3 : {n: "ginnyjc", s: 1, i: "10_21", u: 4, o: 0} length : 4 __proto__ : Array(0) I know I had around 20 presents before the pluging issue hit. Now I'm displaying 3 in my profile. Does this mean I'm screwed and this data isn't recoverable?

Yeah, only 3 presents in that data. The issue the last few days with the keys that ProBoards has hopefully fixed shouldn't have caused any data loss at all. From my understanding, it was simply a key type issue (meaning super user keys temporarily had an identity crisis). User and Super User keys are pretty much the same apart from the permission side of things. Did you clear your key data / remove the plugin when the issue was happening? I'll tag Matej for an official response (or any staff seeing this, I didn't want to tag spam) on the key data, but I'm pretty sure no data would have been lost.

And I checked the Security Log and can see no one touched or cleared them. And the data loss appears to be on both of my live forums. Though interestingly enough, my test forum did appear to retain its data. matej, if the data is lost, is their any way Proboards can go to a backup and restore those keys to a state before the key failure? Since this wasn't a user error and occurred at the Proboards end, I'm hoping Proboards might be able to help us out. I know it might seem like not a big deal, but the admins on both these forums spent hours and hours going thru the Member List and making sure every forum member had at least one gift. That is really slow going with this plugin! Thanks!

Thank you. Hey, what will happen to presents that aren't picked up after Christmas? Specifically what if a member doesn't pick up their gift? I can tell from something you said above that they stay associated with your their profile. But when does the window close when you can open your presents, and then you have to wait until Dec. 25 again?

You basically have one week from the 25th to open them. Once the new year hits, they become sealed again. Any presents not opened once the new year hits will just remain sealed on the profile until the 25th again.
