Hello, Please would you consider developing a routine to extract member details into an Excel spreadsheet.
I was very glad to come across your ProBoards website for setting up a forum for University classes in Paris, France.
However students create accounts with pseudo-names that I cannot recognise, and the only way to identify them is through their email addresses !!! It is a laborious process looking at member profiles one by one for their email, especially when there are many members.
Many thanks

You're actually not allowed to do that per the ToS. Under Section 19 Prohibited Uses it states (in part) that you are not to "f) harvest or otherwise collect information about ProBoards users, including email addresses and phone numbers"
You can tell your students they must either register with their real names, or change their display name to their real name. Or, after determining who is who, you can add a note in their profile as to who it is, but that's it.

rjm56 , This template modification would give you what you need: 1. Go to Admin > Structure > Layout Templates. 2. Click on "Members", then make sure you are on the first tab 'Members'. 3. Replace all the code in that template with this: <div class="container members"> <div class="title-bar"> <h1>Member List</h1> </div> <div class="control-bar $[scroll_class] ui-helper-clearfix"> $[search] <div class="controls"> $[view_menu] $[selection_menu] $[action_menu] </div> $[pagination] </div> <div class="content cap-bottom"> <table class="list"> <thead> {if $[current_user.id] == 1} <tr class="head"> <th class="checkbox"> </th> <th class="name $[sortable_class.name]">Name</th> <th class="username $[sortable_class.username]">Username</th> <th class="username">Email</th> <th class="rank $[sortable_class.group_and_rank]">Group / Rank</th> <th class="posts $[sortable_class.posts]">Posts</th> <th class="date-registered $[sortable_class.registered_on]">Date Registered</th> <th class="last-online last $[sortable_class.last_online]">Last Online</th> </tr> {else} <tr class="head"> <th class="checkbox"> </th> <th class="name $[sortable_class.name]">Name</th> <th class="username $[sortable_class.username]">Username</th> <th class="rank $[sortable_class.group_and_rank]">Group / Rank</th> <th class="posts $[sortable_class.posts]">Posts</th> <th class="date-registered $[sortable_class.registered_on]">Date Registered</th> <th class="last-online last $[sortable_class.last_online]">Last Online</th> </tr> {/if} </thead> <tbody class="list-content $[list_class]"> $[user_list] </tbody> </table> </div> </div> 4. Click the 'Save Changes' button. 5. Then click on the 'Member List' tab. 6. Replace all the code in that template with this: {if $[current_user.id] == 1} {foreach $[user]} <tr id="$[user.content_id]" class="$[user.content_class] clickable" {if $[user.ip]}data-ip="$[user.ip]"{/if}> <td class="checkbox clickable">$[user.checkbox]</td> <td class="name target">$[user]</td> <td class="username">$[user.username]</td> <td class="username">$[user.email]</td> <td class="rank">{if $[user.group]}$[user.group.name]{else}$[user.rank.name]{/if}</td> <td class="posts">$[user.posts]</td> <td class="date-registered">$[user.registered_on]</td> <td class="last-online last">{if $[user.is_online]}Member is Online{else}$[user.last_online]{/if}</td> </tr> {/foreach} {else} {foreach $[user]} <tr id="$[user.content_id]" class="$[user.content_class] clickable" {if $[user.ip]}data-ip="$[user.ip]"{/if}> <td class="checkbox clickable">$[user.checkbox]</td> <td class="name target">$[user]</td> <td class="username">$[user.username]</td> <td class="rank">{if $[user.group]}$[user.group.name]{else}$[user.rank.name]{/if}</td> <td class="posts">$[user.posts]</td> <td class="date-registered">$[user.registered_on]</td> <td class="last-online last">{if $[user.is_online]}Member is Online{else}$[user.last_online]{/if}</td> </tr> {/foreach} {/if}
{if !$[user]} <tr><td colspan="7" class="last center">No members were found.</td></tr> {/if} 7. Click the 'Save Changes' button. What this does is give you only as admin the emails listed in the members list: The rest of the members and staff will see the normal members list:

Scott, I just followed all the directions to modify the Members List, but I did not see any change. Was I supposed to click something after saving my changes?

We kindly ask that you try to keep your issue to a single thread, which makes it much easier for support members and staff to find it and help you. I will reply to you over in your original thread

Scott, I just followed all the directions to modify the Members List, but I did not see any change. Was I supposed to click something after saving my changes? I would also like to mention that this thread is also over a year and a half old, and has been most likely been internally marked as resolved. Please be careful not to necro an old thread, even if it is your own. Hijacking another's thread, as what was done here, is also not allowed. As stated above, please create your own thread. You are always welcome to link to a thread for reference, if need be. Thank you. Edit: My apologies, as I posted this before I saw that you did make your own thread.
