I have it set up that when a poster is ignored, his posts are also ignored when someone quotes him. Putting someone on ignore has four options/checkboxes. There was one poster I wanted to block sending me messages, but I didn't want to ignore his posts. What I did was check the last three options, but left the one to block his posts unchecked. Well, today I saw a post of his where he had quoted one of his own posts. This post came through, but the quoted one was blocked out.
Can someone explain this to me? Better yet, how do I just block messages from him?

Hi, forumcoder. I've moved this thread out of the Plugin Library board as that board is specifically for plugin authors to create support threads for their plugins. Whenever you block a user in any way there's an array added to the head of the page containing the numerical IDs of every user you have blocked. It's likely the code you're using to block quotes is referencing this array but doesn't have any means of turning the quote blocking feature on or off. The code would need to be made into a plugin with a user key so that you can tell the forum which blocked users you want to block quotes from instead of blocking quotes universally for everyone on your block list. If you have a link to the thread where you obtained the code it'd be pretty easy to provide instructions on how to convert the code into a plugin so that you can choose whose quotes you want blocked. I imagine only a few lines need to be changed. The rest would be copying and pasting.
