Header picture 101- why does this take so much research?

Hey Friends, I'm probably going to make myself look like an @$$ here, but I'm doing it for a purpose- maybe it'll get the designer's attention so people don't have to go digging through forums for uber-basic stuff. My issue:

- I want to post a picture in the header of my forum. Can someone help me by telling me exactly how to upload/link a picture? I would appreciate it

NB: sweet mother of all complication, it's gotta be the first thing people want to do when they create a forum. Again- (@$$?) - but honestly I have two degrees and not enough time to navigate more than 3 redirects/pages to try to upload a photo. It's SOOO easy to sign up... please make me feel foolish for thinking it's SOOOO complicated to find out where to find out how to: upload a banner.

Most of your settings can be found in Admin > Themes > Advanced Styles & CSS > Visual Editor (tab) - including uploading a banner image.




On the aforementioned page, click on (in order to expand it): Header (Top) > Forum Banner > Banner Image:




You can upload your Banner in the field highlighted in the red box. Click the icon in the black box to upload and image.


For future reference, this type of thread should be in the Support Board - as there's really no coding involved with this at all.

To upload the image itself, from the Advanced Styles & CSS you can click on the Theme Settings button.  Then click on the Forum Images tab.  The section Forum Logo has buttons which allow you to link or upload the image which will be used in your banner.
