code to show users currently on the thread?

hello! a couple of days ago i made a post and received some great help! however there was one questioned unanswered that my community feels is very important, which is to see which users are on a thread (preferably on the bottom of the page.) if someone knows or can develop a code/plugin/anything really and give some instructions on where to put it it'd be greatly appreciated

You can see the participants of a thread by clicking on the number in the replies column. That information is not available once you enter and start reading the thread however.


If you mean viewing a "live" list of people currently online who are currently participating in a thread then no, the granularity stops at a list of those who are viewing a board

oh that's unfortunate thanks for your help!

The extent of what we allow is for users to see who is online and who else is viewing the board that they're currently viewing. For privacy reasons we do not allow any modifications that keep track of what pages users are viewing (for example, seeing the last page a user viewed by visiting their profile page).

We have never provided a means to see what users are viewing in real time.
