Well, the Patriots/Chargers game is not going at all the way I hoped it would. I thought it would at least be a game. Hopefully the Chargers can come back, gonna be really tough. Patriots playing really well on both sides of the ball. If the Patriots win it will be 8 consecutive times in the AFC title game. Go away already. I was stunned at how the Patriots dominated the game. I had hoped Rivers could have gone on to the Super Bowl so he could get a ring, but not this time around.

Me too Violette . At 15 years in the league, I hope he has another season in him. Really like to see him win the big one before he's done.
The Patriots are going to be tough, and if they beat the Chiefs next week, I think they'll win it all.

Congrats on the win dianne , but man am I tired of seeing them in title games, lol. Guess that's what you get with a great team. I hope the Chiefs beat them next week, should be a great game. You have to remember that I've been a fan of theirs since they were the Boston Patriots and sucked. I'm not a new fan or one who is just there when things are going well. As for your hope of the Chiefs beating them, well it is quite likely and the Pats are the underdog...but crazier things have happened. The Pats beat them during the regular season so we'll see. PS ---to anyone who cares--- when you spell my name with a 'small' d like you did, ( several people have done this not just you) you like to another person's account. Just sayin'!

Now that I have that ^^^^^^out of my system, congrats to this week's winning teams.
And I completely understand how you feel, endo . No hard feelings. Skins and Eagles fans ~ we know how that goes. All in all, I am proud of Foles and the team. They took a very dismal season and gave us an unexpected ride in the playoffs. Didn't see that happening just a few short weeks ago. It was great unanticipated fun while it lasted. You have such a good attitude about this. Oh, and I'm truly sorry that your team didn't make it...if things had worked out correctly it would have made for a very interesting Super Bowl would it not? You realize, as do I, that nothing important changes in your life if your team wins or loses. I think in 'real life' we would be good friends.

Really interesting games this week.
I thought that the Eagles would end up winning from the looks of it, but turns out New Orleans ended up winning instead.

Ah sorry, but who would have guessed your actual user name was cats 57? Actually you are a cat person, so maybe I'm stupid, lol. Anyway, I'm a Skins fan and talk about being there through the bad times.
You're lucky, you really got to enjoy a dynasty with your team. I just wish the Skins could have a good playoff run once in a while.

It definitely would have made for an interesting Super Bowl, π Dianne π . And thank you. I would have loved to be spending another weekend cheering them on.
And yup, nothing important changes in our lives with the wins and losses of our favorite teams. But it is a fun distraction. And adding a SuperBowl sweat and tee to my collection is a great way to remember last year's win.
And I think we'd be good friends IRL, too. Those who have hearts large enough to love animals as well as humans, are certainly keepers. And friends on the board is a very good thing, too
Good luck next week. There's still a little Philly in that matchup. The Chief's coach is a former Eagles' coach. Reid and the Chiefs are doing far better than he did in his latter years here.

I don't think the Pat's are going to make it any farther, but the season went further than I expected (too many dismal games for my taste). BTW my husband is rooting for the Chiefs so this should make for a very interesting day. Well with five cats (and room in my heart for more -if you can believe that) I guess you could say that I'm an animal person and I do love my friends on the forum. I just wish I could remember you from when I was a very active member. I'm sorry to say that I cannot. I hit over 50 and my brain just went to mush .

That's what I've been thinking as well -- the team went from a pretty dismal 4-6, and later 6-7, record to defeating two playoff teams (Rams and Texans), sneaking into the playoffs, and even winning a road playoff game. Definitely not a bad way to end what had looked like a lost season just a month or so ago. It's also kind of funny how the season sort of played out in reverse, compared to last season. Last year, September through November were amazing, while December was horrifying. This year, September through November were horrifying, but December was amazing.

Ha, so you're a house divided next week, π Dianne π . I have two friends who are Chiefs' fans and a few who are Patriots' fans. I'll stay neutral and wish both teams well. And yes, I can definitely believe you have room in your heart for more cats. I always enjoy a house filled with the pitter patter of furry feet. As far as not remembering me, no worries. Your brain did not go to mush. I joined ProBoards in 2009, but never came to support until the arrival of v5 ~ that was six years ago this month. I needed help with the changeover for our board. But it took me about a year after that to post here in General Talk. Everyone seemed to know one another so well, it was a bit intimidating to this newbie.

This year, September through November were horrifying, but December was amazing. Exactly, Syko Nachoman . Winning game after game at the end of the season, and getting into the Wildcard playoff, didn't look possible before Wentz went out. Who knows what could have been had Alshon Jeffery not dropped the pass? But at least we didn't repeat the 48-7 debacle just two short months ago. 20-14 was respectable against a team as good as the Saints. I loved that so many fans met their plane in the dark and cold last night. Philly fans. Nothing like 'em. It's great to see how many of us appreciate their effort despite not representin' in the Super Bowl.

Now I'm rooting for a Chiefs and Rams rematch in the Super Bowl. All offense, no defense.

Pats & Cheifs this weekend, cheater Bill is hard at work watching their plays disguised! Ahhh, I see you're still a tad upset that the Pats got * caught cheating, and see the keyword here is caught. So you are going to innuendo me to death? *(unlike every other team playing that hasn't gotten caught...yet)
