for a while i've been wondering if proboards could support something like this. on paper it's rather simple, but in html / coding in general it's never that easy lol. so, i was wondering if it's possible to create simple custom bbcodes for members of a site to use. an example of what i mean:
using [post]text here[/post] in a thread would show up like this
text here (without the div tags of course)
it'd function just like the [*blockquote] would.
i know i can style a post using div tags as well as the style tag plugins for shoving all the css into the site rather than the post, but i want something even more simple. people tend to break codes and the preview tab is ... doing it's best to help when we don't need it, so i want something even simpler. aka custom single word bbcodes !
can it be done with(out) a plugin (and if so, which one?)

as far as i am aware, this can't be done with bare bbcode. off the top of my head, i can only think of the posting templates plugin, which may help depending on what you need done. it allows the user to input custom bbcode, and have it automatically insert into the thread when they select it (although i have heard that some users have had trouble with it in the past).

ahhh yeah, i'm figuring as much ...
ᴘʀɪɴᴄᴇ ᴄᴜᴘɪᴅ thank you for the plugin suggestion but that's not exactly what i'm looking for. i've tried it before and it's helpful but not for what i have in mind. thank you though!
