Hello! I am trying to create a generic post that I can slap onto accepted profiles on my website. In the post I am trying to create a link that will bring the user to their own profile page to view and edit.
None of the code I know seems to work, I get broken links.
Please note, my limits of coding die after basic html and java. I will need directions if this goes beyond a "copy and paste this here!"
Thank you!

Smare You'll want something like this: [a href="http://YOUR FORUM URL HERE/user/"]TEXT FOR THE POST HERE[/a]

Smare You'll want something like this: [a href="http://YOUR FORUM URL HERE/user/"]TEXT FOR THE POST HERE[/a] I suspect they want something more akin to: forum.proboards.com/user/$[post.created_by.id]Obviously that isn't possible in a post, but the best way to quickly and clearly explain what I think they're asking for. OP, please correct me if I'm wrong and you simply want what Scott posted - while you will have to fill out their user ID by hand each time, it is certainly an easy way to do it :) If I am correct, though, then this would probably require some sort of plugin or at least JS snippet to grab the OP's user ID and insert it, assuming that is possible.

₪» ⅀ ƪ Ƒ «₪ , I may be misunderstanding the issue, but a link of the forum's url with a "/user/" added to it will take the member that clicks it to their own profile as without a user ID, the default would be the profile of the member who click's the link. Isn't this what the op wanted? Something like an 'approval' post with a link that says click here to edit your profile?

Ohhhhhh, you're right. I dunce'd and forgot that /user/ would take them to their own profile. Smart! And way easier than I thought it'd be haha

I have these in the mini-profile of my forum and will take you to the profile of the users mini-profile you have clicked on
{if $[current_user.id] != $[user.id]}<a href="/user/$[user.id]">Visit Profile</a><br />{/if}
or to the personal tab in your own profile, (in edit mode).
{if $[current_user.id] == $[user.id]}<a href="/user/$[user.id]/personal">Edit Profile</a><br />{/if}
