Hi im trying to change it so every other message in a specific forum has a different background image, i know there are options to do this in the theme settings but im trying to have it only apply to a specific board. Thus I run into the problem of trying to tag the element of a specific board, there does not seem to be separate body classes for each pages background, and i do see there is something to do with Board Id but no matter what I put i can not get the style sheet to recognize what I'm trying to do.
do i need to construct and If statement with Board Id? I am very confused as to how this is set up.

If the posts reside on a specific board, they'll need to respond to styling from a new class you create for them. Whether this is best accomplished by adding lines defining the styling for those classes at the bottom of your stylesheet and adding the decision making process in the Posts List tab of your Thread template or putting everything in a script in your Global Header, I don't know. I'm glad to see you have some awareness of placing threads in the most appropriate forum. I wouldn't worry so much about an occasional oops. The staff can move this if/when they see fit.

I have had some luck changing the background in a particular board with: if $[route.params.board_id] == "1"} body{ background-image: url("https://i.imgur.com/Y7BGB1z.jpg"); background-color: #cccccc; } {/if}
However this of course only applies to the board home or w/e. What I'm wondering is if theres a way to refer to all the threads that are posted in a particular board? New to using route.params and this thread and board id business and just wondering if anyone has any additional information about making board-wide changes to threads.

If you place the script in the header for the board you wish to change, then all the threads within that board will be affected.
