Dont you hate it when you place an order and then it gets delayed? I recently bought new earbuds from Walmart. They estimated that they would be here today with free two day shipping over the $35 limit go to check they wont be here until Monday. Too late to cancel and do a pick up order also.

I borrowed my boyfriend's Amazon Prime account to order some pet supplies, strictly for the free, 2-day shipping. I placed the order on Sunday. A few items were delivered yesterday. Some things haven't shipped yet, and aren't expected to ship until the 14th. Further, I placed one order. I didn't expect every item to be shipped in a separate box. Also, they charged me $2.99 to ship an item that supposedly went out of stock an hour before I placed the order. Who knows when my little pet will get that item?

Ugh, I hate that so much! We ordered some snacks around Christmas time and they took like 2 months to get here because it kept getting delayed. So annoying.

I ordered a 50in tv last week @ $199 with free 2 day shipping. It took 4 days to go 38 miles .
I yelled at the manager and he gave me a $25 walmart gift card for my inconvenience .

What about if you decide to call a pizza place to place a pizza order for delivery and you wait hour after hour for it to show you while you are wondering "where the heck is my pizza delivery?", then when you finally go to check on it, you find out that it is going to take a few more days to get to you?

You sure showed that guy who had nothing to do with shipping the product! It was sold by walmart and shipped by walmart..... So it was their fault. Sure, it was Walmart’s fault. It’s not as if the manager could have done anything about shipping a package from the warehouse, though. What goes in the trucks and when is dictated by inventory management software. Neither store managers nor warehouse supervisors have any control over that. But that’s all irrelevant, right? All that matters is an entitled customer was compensated after they threw a fit over the extremely mild inconvenience of having the package that was shipped for free delayed. The only injustice here was the rewarding of bad behavior.

It mostly only frustrates me if I need the thing I ordered quickly. Otherwise, so long as it gets here eventually (within reason, of course) it doesn't bother me too much.
There was one thing I ordered recently I needed for work. It wasn't delivered on the day it should have been, then the UPS warehouse wasn't sure where it was, then UPS told me they had no idea where it was, so I had to re-order it. Eventually the tracking came back and I found out it was delivered to some probably confused woman about 400 miles north. So that one was a little frustrating and it set me about a week behind.

The only injustice here was the rewarding of bad behavior. When I called Walmart about my order I calmly asked about why my order was delayed and if there was nothing they can do, sure I sounded aggravated but didnt yell at them and they still offered me $10 off my next order for $15 or more. Kind of lame I have to spend more but I'll still appreciate the discount.

such a mature response. Bravo to you! "inconvenience" on waiting a couple days for a tv..., on free shipping on a bottom barrel tv.
You sure showed that employee that had nothing to do with it!

On the other hand I'd be yelling at my pizza shop if it took them an hour to deliver a pizza considering they're just 10 minutes away.

On the other hand I'd be yelling at my The point was that yelling at someone in that situation is not a reasonable action. It's childish, or worse if the person knowingly does it to manipulate people ("if I make a scene they'll give me a discount!") You guys are talking about companies failing your expectations, but what about the basic expectation that people are civil to each other. I had a pizza that was late a few months ago. I called, "hey, I just wanted to check on my pizza." Then they remade and brought me my pizza. No need to yell at anyone or express anger since it's not like they physically attacked me. If it's a habitual thing then I'd just switch to a different place.
