I don't have a problem with copy and paste for image URLs That's either copying a code given by a third party hosting site or copying the image URL and adding before and [/img] after the URL. How are you trying to post the URL? Edit. Twice I have treid to type (without the space) . It keeps disappearing!

Right, in my post above I keep putting in the first img tag and it keeps being deleted. As in, I type [ img ] (without spaces) and it disappears. Why is this please? Where am I going wrong?

Elhombre surely if I just post the image URL it's simply a link. That's what I was talking about, putting the tags before and after the URL of an image, not posting a generated code or using the attachment button on the reply box. I often just copy an image URL and add the tags so that the image shows up in the post. I just tried to type just the img tags for the purpose of the reply and the first tag keeps being deleted.

Are you posting the link into the image box on the message bar?

I often just copy an image URL and add the tags so that the image shows up in the post. I just tried to type just the img tags for the purpose of the reply and the first tag keeps being deleted. Please read my reply above. This is directly in the manually typed text in the text box. That's why I add the img tags to a URL. However, in this very thread, the first tag keeps getting deleted!

Note: This very probaly should have gone in to its own thread VanWoman84 and elhombre ! VanWoman84, (and others) to type a ubbc tag in to a post and have it show up, you need to add spaces in, otherwise it tries to execute the tag. [ img ] or you can use the [ code ][ /code ] tags. [ code ][ img ][ /code ] minus the spaces creates the following result. [img]

I understand that, but if I go back to the post in edit, it's not just invisable in the post, it's actually deleted. Gone. I put it back in, and it's deleted again. I know, if you add spaces, but I have never seen the img or other tag being deleted before. Usually it's there, just unseen in the normal post.

oj2021 in what way and from where are you trying to get the image code ? Since most image hosting sites have a way to copy the required code for the image to be posted.

Forum URL: (private) Why can't I paste images into a post on the forum? you have to manually type URL in. This is very annoying. Please can I get some advice. Thanks Hi oj2021 I'll describe a rather direct way of doing this with essentially no typing. This is using a Windows computer. If you're using a different device or operating system, please state what you're using and someone might be able to help you with that. 1 - Get the URL. Select the URL by left-clicking at the beginning of the string, then press and hold the Shift key while left-clicking at the end of the string. The URL will then be highlighted. Then hover over the highlighted URL and right-click. A small menu will appear. Hover over Copy and click that. The URL is now in your clipboard. 2 - Click on the Insert Image button . A popup will appear. 3 - In the field for Image URL: you'll see highlighted text that says http:// . Hover over that and right-click. Then select Paste. The URL will now appear in the Image URL field. 4 - Click the Insert Image button at the lower right of the popup. If your editor is in BBCode mode, you'll see the BBCode injected into the post. If you're in the Preview mode, the image will appear.

As a note: Image URLs must end with an image file extension. In other words, your URL must end in either .jpg, .gif, or .png. If your URL ends any other way it will not work.
Valid: http://sitehere.com/image.jpg
Not Valid: http://sitehere.com/s/image193959395/
