Hello, I am trying, and failing, I think, at making a site theme. I a not very good with coding, so have been struggling with a few things. I have been trying to find coding for an infocentr remodel, but I cannot find one to my liking. I have managed to find one on a pre-made skin that I like, but the owner of the skin hasn't been on for a while for contact. Is there a way to find a code that will remodel my infocenter into one like here Purple Dream.
As well as that, I am doing all this remodeling and stuff on a test site, so I dont break it on the site I want it on when it comes to it. When I have got things looking the way I want, can I simply just save the entire theme and somehow download it and then upload it onto the site of my choosing without having to reedit everything?
Thank you in advance; Notick.

Yes! You definitely can export the theme you modify on your test forum to your computer. (The .pbt file will probably be placed in your downloads folder). Then you can go to the Theme Manager in the Admin section of your main forum and import the theme from the file on your computer to the forum. I don't have the time right now to follow up on the coding you'll need but I reckon a few alterations in the Home layout template should take care of it. Just a matter of reorganizing the containers. I reckon one of the other members here can pick up the ball and run with it. This is the way you want the Info Center to be organized, right? Basically two containers. The one on the left for the users online information and the one on the right for the thread info and total members, etc? The theme on your forum looks like the info center has the basic proboards default layout, but without seeing the contents of your home template, I can't be certain the class references are the same. Could you go to your Home layout template and copy the contents to your clipboard, then paste them into a post on this thread with code tags surrounding the contents? That way someone who has the time to help will be able to use what you currently have and edit it. As an example, the contents of the 'plain vanilla' (default theme on a new forum) proboards home template looks like this:
$[news] {foreach $[category]} $[category.anchor] <div class="container boards"> <div class="title-bar bbcode"><h2><div class="title_wrapper">$[category.display_name]</div></h2></div> <div class="content cap-bottom"> $[category.board_list] </div> </div> {/foreach} {if $[legend]} <div class="container legend"> <div class="title-bar"><h2>Legend</h2></div> <div class="content"> <table> <tr> {foreach $[legend]} <td>$[legend.icon] <span>$[legend.name]</span></td> {/foreach} </tr> </table> </div> </div> {/if} {if $[show_stats]} <div class="container stats"> <div class="title-bar"><h2>Forum Information & Statistics</h2></div> <div class="content"> <table> <tbody> <tr> <td> <table> <tr> <td class="icon">$[image.stats]</td> <td class="info"> <table> <tbody> <tr><th>Threads and Posts</th></tr> <tr><td>Total Threads: $[total_threads] Total Posts: $[total_posts]</td></tr> {if $[last_updated_thread]}<tr><td>Last Updated: $[last_updated_thread.recent_link] by $[last_updated_thread.last_post.created_by] ($[last_updated_thread.last_post.created_on])</td></tr>{/if} <tr><td>$[recent_threads_link] - $[recent_posts_link]{if $[rss_feed_link]} - $[rss_feed_link]{/if}{if $[mark_boards_read_link]} - $[mark_boards_read_link]{/if}</td></tr> </tbody> </table> </td> </tr> </table> </td> <td> <table> <tr> <td class="icon">$[image.members]</td> <td class="info"> <table> <tbody> <tr><th>Members</th></tr> <tr><td>Total Members: $[total_members]</td></tr> <tr><td>Newest Member: $[newest_user]</td></tr> <tr><td>Most Users Online: $[most_users_online] <span class="small">($[most_users_online_date])</span></td></tr> <tr><td>$[birthdays_today_link]</td></tr> </tbody> </table> </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="2"> <table> <tr> <td class="icon">$[image.online]</td> <td class="info last"> <table> <tbody> <tr><th>Users Online</th></tr> <tr><td>$[total_staff_online] Staff, $[total_members_online] Member{if $[total_members_online] != 1}s{/if}, {if $[view_guests_online_link]}<a href="#" class="$[view_guests_online_link.class]">{/if}$[total_guests_online] Guest{if $[total_guests_online] != 1}s{/if}{if $[view_guests_online_link]}</a>{/if}.</td></tr> <tr><td> {foreach $[online_user]} $[online_user]{if $[online_user.invisible]} <span class="small">(invisible)</span>{/if}$[online_user.comma] {/foreach} {if $[total_online_not_shown]} , and <a class="$[view_active_members_link.class]" href="$[view_active_members_link.href]">$[total_online_not_shown] more...</a> {/if} </td></tr> </tbody> </table> </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> <tr class="last"> <td colspan="2"> <table> <tr> <td class="icon">$[image.online_24]</td> <td class="info last"> <table> <tbody> <tr><th>Users Online in the Last 24 Hours</th></tr> <tr><td>$[total_staff_online_24] Staff, <a class="$[view_todays_active_members_link.class]" href="$[view_todays_active_members_link.href]">$[total_members_online_24] Member{if $[total_members_online_24] != 1}s{/if}</a>, $[total_guests_online_24] Guest{if $[total_guests_online_24] != 1}s{/if}.</td></tr> <tr><td> {foreach $[online_user_24]} $[online_user_24]{if $[online_user_24.invisible]} <span class="small">(invisible)</span>{/if}$[online_user_24.comma] {/foreach} {if $[total_online_not_shown_24]} , and <a class="$[view_todays_active_members_link.class]" href="$[view_todays_active_members_link.href]">$[total_online_not_shown_24] more...</a> {/if} </td></tr> </tbody> </table> </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table> </div> </div> {/if}

Retread Yes, the info center on my test site is the original, as all the modifications I have done I have done to the original default theme and coding. I don't know if that was the right thing to do, but it's too late now.I just don't like the infocenter that's defaut, I find it too cluttered and I would rather have the online and past online be the main features of the infocenter. Here is the Home Code you asked for. Great. I see you also wrapped it in spoiler tags too. :) Your contents exactly the same as the stock Home template so all of the classes are the same. One less thing we'll need to deal with. We'll retain those classes so the theme will continue to respond to your Visual Editor. I just don't like the infocenter that's defaut, I find it too cluttered and I would rather have the online and past online be the main features of the infocenter. It doesn't have the be the exact same as the one I gave, but similar in the layout. It turns out I did have a bit of time so here's a quick reorganization of all the stock elements into a layout that's similar to the one on purple dream. Paste this into your home template to replace the present contents and see if it's close to what you're after.

Yes, that is pretty much the formation I was after, thank you. I will see if I can work around it and adjust it to my liking, if I fail, I'll just repaste the code and come back to you.

I have removed or <!-- --> all the information I don't want shown, as it seems irrelevant to me. How can I center align all of the text respective of their containers? I tried <p align="center"> but that did nothing.
It's just that now I've hidden the icons they sit far too close to the margins on the left and I don't know how to add a padding or buffer .
Also, is there a way to change the 24 hours period to something longer to maybe a 5 days (120 hours), or is that still not an option for proboards yet?

I don't know for certain but I haven't heard anything about new variables being created yet. There was a thread on the Support Board marked as a Feature Request but these things take time. I centered the contents with some inline styling. That's sort of a hack thing to do, but I don't have time to do it the right way. I think this is stripped back to what you want. I included a line with the links for Recent Threads, Recent Posts, RSS Feed, and Mark all Boards Read. The last two aren't critical but I think you really do need the first two somewhere on your home page. I placed the links in a single line of html. It should be easy enough to spot when you paste this into your Home template, as I didn't put any tabs or spaces in the beginning of the line.

I have got one more thing to ask, sorry if I'm being a pain an should be making a new thread for each issue.
I know that there is a Recent Thread plugin for 'sidebar'. I, however, would like to know if I could have it at the bottom of my forum above the affiliate's section where the info center used to be? If so, how could I do that?

I have got one more thing to ask, sorry if I'm being a pain an should be making a new thread for each issue. Limiting a thread to one issue (and details related to it) is very important on the Support Board of this forum. But it works pretty well on the other boards, too. In this case, directions to where you should ask your question won't cause any unnecessary clutter. If you know the plugin you're interested in, find it in the Library, then click the button marked Get Help With This Plugin. Some authors only put a link to the Plugins Board but not to a specific thread. So then you would want to search the forum to see if the author has an existing thread. If not, you post a thread in the plugin board and ask for the information you need related to the use of the plugin. If you're talking about this plugin: Recently Updated Threads Sidebar, the help link goes directly to a thread: Recently Updated Threads Sidebar ( Todge is very conscientious about providing links directly to the help threads for plugins) You can ask on his thread about the type of usage you envision. But you might want to read through the thread first to see if the question has already been asked.
