Can i get a code through which i can set different default avatar for male and female for a theme. No code is needed. You can go to Admin -> Themes -> Theme Manager and click on the theme name that you want these changed on. Then click on the Images tab. From there, scroll down to the Forum Icons section - there are places for Female and Male icons there you can replace. Simply replace those images with the ones you want in their respective places.

I'm talking about avatars not the icons.

I'm not seeing a way to do this without JavaScript. Themes only have one default avatar, but I thought maybe we could do it in the Mini Profile and User Profile templates with a conditional. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a way to check if the user is using the default avatar or a custom avatar.
In the mini profile code, we have this statement:
{if $[user.avatar]} ... {/if} I would expect this to check if the user has uploaded their own avatar, but it actually seems to be checking if the user has an avatar at all — and since the default is, well, the default, this statement seems to always be true unless the user has selected "No Avatar" from their profile settings.
So this is hypothetically possible but will need JavaScript.
If this is a big deal for you, I can see what I can come up with.

This needs a little more information.
Is this for one specific theme? Are you running multiple themes on your site?
