Who here knows The Sims games series (one, two, three, four)? And who have played it? What is your favourite games series (again- one, two, three, four)? What is your favourite expansion pack, game pack and stuff pack? You can discuss anything about the games series here.

I got the first base game for my 12th or 13th birthday and I've been playing the series ever since. It's actually what led me to ProBoards in the first place. My favorite was Sims 2, hands down. With all the EPs and SPs, there was so much content and the right amount of gameplay. I loved a little of each EP, though, so I can't say I that have a favorite. I especially love building and decorating the houses. Sims 3 had a bit of the uncanny valley going on with the Sims themselves, and probably a little too much stuff to do. Sims 4 is an improvement because they're back to a more cartoonish look and they've toned things down overall. Although I miss having cars/driveways/garages... and the Business EP was disappointing because your Sim can't work at their own restaurant as a cook/host/server. Didnt think I'd have three paragraphs to write about the Sims, but here we are.

The Sims 1: I've played it only on xbox but it was kind of nice, I loved creating a family (like I still do).
The Sims 2: It was the first one I've started to play on computer, even thought I don't quite remember really the second series I did love the option where we could bath our babies in the sink.
The Sims 3: Oh my god, that one had to be the best one because how cute these babies (especially the newborns) were- and that we could have taken them in stroller, carrying them anywhere and all. There were more interactions for the pregnancy (ex: the option of your sim wanting to hear the baby in the mother's belly, talking to it... etc.), there were cars, more jobs in the ambitions expansion pack- and especially burglars. I miss that.
The Sims 4: My second best favourite, there's a lot that are missing in the fourth one than there was in the third series- things that I loved that I mentioned in the third one. In the fourth one, you can only touched the sim's belly- unless there's more options for it in the parenthood pack but still, I just find some are missing. However, what I love about Sims 4 is that you can have a couple from the same sex having a baby naturally. I love the Cats & Dogs pack (even if it can be similar to the third one). There is still some good things I love about Sims 4 so this is really the second best for me.

When the Sims first came out, I was able to find the graphic files for the figures and digitally altered them. It was hilarious to see them running around so altered and just going about their day.

My family had the original Sims (now called Sims 1) with all eight of the expansion packs. All I remember is that it took eons to install all of it on a new computer, and absolutely none of the installation progress bars would follow a logical progression from 0% to 100%.

i adore the sims! i only played 2 - 4 though, seeing as i was 3 when sims 1 came out. i used to play the sims 2 on gamecube...my friend and i would spend all night making a house and our sims, only to not be able to save it because my save file didn't have enough room. i got sims 3 pets for both playstation 2 and wii...but i recently got sims 3 (though i have none of the expansions). i have sims 4 tho, and all of the expansions for it. sims 4 is like my religion...when i'm not playing it myself, i watch other people do so on youtube/twitch (vixella and lilsimsie are my go-to simmers)!

The Sims series is the only games that I truly play on computer, so I'm kind of in love with the series.

I've heard of Sims but never played the first two, only three and four. I guess 4 is my favorite. I have yet to play with the expansion packs since they're quite expensive usually.

I played the original game on PC with the pets expansion, as well as The Sims, The Sims 2, and The Sims: Bustin’ Out on the PlayStation 2. I had fun with building the houses more than anything. Actually managing the people was a chore and never held my interest for very long. They were too needy and insolent at the most inopportune times. The biblical flood myth makes more sense after dealing with the Sims and their mewling Simlish. Sony just announced that The Sims 4 is going to be given away as part of February’s free PlayStation Plus lineup (starting Tuesday). I guarantee I’ll never play it, but I’ll claim my license all the same.

I played the first one, including the DLCs like Vacation and Superstar. It was some 15 years ago using my sisters copies…

I only played the Gamecube and PS2 versions of the Sims 2 myself. I personally like the console versions because Professor Feathers isn't an object in the PC versions for some reason, and I find her to be hilarious! xD Makes me wonder why she wasn't included in the PC versions, or why no one bothered to attempt to port her to the PC version. :V Also I have watched my wife play the Sims 1, Sims 3, and a little bit of Sims 4 but I don't like how you don't have control of your sim, instead you just tell them what to do unlike in the second game so I probably won't bother playing the other games honestly. :V

Been a Sims fan ever since the first game. Ironically, never played TS2. I skipped 2 and went over to 3. I did play TS1 for a very long time, though. Now, I absolutely love TS3 over the first game. Decorating the house makes more sense. More levels than just two. Aging and an open world. TS4 feels like the game went backwards. The open world isn't as open. It went back to TS1 version (particularly TS1: Hot Date) when traveling between Lots. TS4 is a great example of good graphics don't make for a great game. TS3 graphics aren't on par, however the Gameplay is much better. I'm still a Sims 3 fan.

I usually find myself watching KOFFEE YT - i've watched her 100 Baby Challenge, Her Lunar Zodiac, & her Zodiac Games. She took a break at one point, so some of her LPs aren't finished. VIXELLA is another good one - i've watched her Rags to Riches, Zodiac Challenge, & Not So Berry. Sadly, she gets bored of some of her LPs, so she rarely finished. Right now she's going back and playing Sims 1, 2 & 3 and sort of experiencing them again.

I love the Sims games! I think 3 is my favorite. I like the world adventures pack, being able to send my Sims to 'Egypt' and such was awesome.
