Is it possible to have a plug in that converts boards to columns and have them as images that hover stats?

You could in theory, I suppose, but having a plugin do this is unnecessary / convoluted -- this could be done easily (though time consuming) through templates.

I was messing around at one point with fluid columns for board based columns. Had to strip stuff from the individual board table script, in order to get it to work with a fluid design and implement strict sizes on the div boxes.
I doubt it will work properly using a plugin, but there are a couple ways to do a fluid design, if you want to use the <div style="float:left;">, along side with forced width and heights (or max width and heights); or someone could try making one based off of the fluid coding scheme that ProBoards is going to start using for Version 6. Either way, it will take a bit of coding, along with a number of css entries to make it work.

I believe some css would be better, if I'm not mistaken I've seen Smangii design a few themes this way and wanted something similar.
