Apparently the adult-orientated jokes in Scooby Doo are so far over your head you didn't even notice them There's very few modern (90s onwards) cartoons that don't have adult jokes and humour sneaked in somewhere. Both Nick and Disney writers love to see how much they can get past the censors, in cartoons and live action shows (although I think they'll be hard pressed to beat what they managed on iCarly, not that that stops them trying ;d ). When that sort of joke is done properly I think it adds an clever edge to shows. Related.

I don't get it. How did the account get made? Is it a special account? They're basically "beta" accounts - you can use the website before it officially opens up. I think they're just randomly handed out to those who signed up - I've had a friend or two post on facebook saying they got an email saying they had early access.

I have to go with RDJ on this one. The only movies that Johnny Depp has been in that I've really liked have been Pirates of the Caribbean and Nightmare on Elm Street. I've liked pretty much everything RDJ has been in for the past couple of years (Ironman 1+2, Due Date, Sherlock Holmes, Tropic Thunder).

I actually thought of this in a dream last night so it might not be as good as I think it is. >9000 has a problem with the game because it makes a non-fictional group the bad guys. Doesn't the same thing happen for the good guys though? For 22 movies I've watch Britain save the world with James Bond, those are American movies (yes I know based on books, thank you) but I cheer either way. In fact I typically find the American agents to be inept and brash in JB movies. That doesn't make me dislike my own country in reality in any way. Fiction just as often makes up who the good guys are as well, is that not balance? I remember playing Red Alert 1 & 2 (and a little 3) I always play as the Soviets. Guess who that bad guys are in that game? The allied forces including America. then I play Call of Duty and guess what? Russia is that bad guys (sometimes). It a game, set in a fictional universe. It's story line has little bearing in reality, unless you count the fact that for 50 years Russia and America were enemies. Imagine that. A work of fiction that starts in reality. All the best fiction does. But it never stops being fiction for any sane or rational person. While on the topic of country alliances and militarizes and what not, I was playing Civilization V last night. I got to the modern age, researched nukes, and went power hungry. I was playing as Rome. Off the top of my head, I nuked cities owned by America, Egypt, and a Germany. Does that make me want to nuke countries in real life? No. Does it desensitize me to the destructive power that nukes have? Nope. When I have the option to, I usually play the opposite of what my real life morals are. I always enjoy playing the bad guy more than I enjoy playing the good guy.

I loved Napoleon Dynamite when it first came out - I've seen it so many times though that I can't stand watching it anymore.
It's definitely a love-hate movie though (another one I can think of is Cloverfield - I thought it was brilliant but I know a bunch of people who absolutely hated it. I can't think of anyone off the top of my head who thought it was just okay).

What if someone wrote a book where you are the main character and you rape children. Wouldn't you be mildly offended? Honestly? Not really. I'd be a little disgusted, but at the end of the day those children don't exist. I'd rather someone take out there sexual frustrations on a game then a real child. I'm not a psychologist, so I'm not sure how it would effect the person mentally - but I've read articles that claim video games actually make people LESS violent in the long run because they take out violent frustrations on the game and not on actual people. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Columbine_Massacre_RPG! This is somewhere along the same lines.

That's because you're male, all guys seem to think The Notebook is terrible. I personally think it's an adorable movie. <3 Like everything from Nicolas Sparks, it's the same recycled plot with nothing original about it. It's the same old, boring, cliche story. Can you talk to my mom? He's one of her two favorite authors (the other being Stephen King).
