Beating the summer heat?

What have everyone here been doing to keep cool on these hot days.

Me and all my friends made this awesome shack! With a roof..

and its shady so we have just been chilling there..

and swiming in the river.. haha!

Staying in the shade and riding jetskis. 110, but it's tolerable when going 35 on the water. Or just staying in the shade.

Swimming in the creek with meh friends. Air conditioning.

My husband and I just bought a house with a pool so I'm good to go.

Staying inside. For a long time.

Besides that... well, it actually hasn't been that hot here yet in Riverside. Its been pretty nice, I just leave my window open and its pretty cool.

I've been drinking a lot of ice cold water and having a fan next to me when i'm using the computer. Was a scorcher yesterday again, more hot weather here this coming week though.

I spent a considerable ammount of money buying four fans, each 5 foot by five foot, and i sit in an easy chari in a square of fans

Drinking lots of water....staying out of the sun and thinking of winter.

Just a word of caution regarding fans. It's not a good idea to have a fan blowing directly on you, because you can get pnuemonia easily that way. Best to have it aimed over your head.

This isn't just advice for 'old dolls' like me or babies. A friend of my in his 20's is battling pneumonia because in the heat wave 2 weeks ago he had a fan blowing right on his face and chest.

Ive been going inside the pubs instead of outside (air conditioning)

Also keeping the clothes down to a minimum helps

The heat's been beating the hell out of me. Luckily my home has air conditioning, but i had to take exams in a hot gym at my school.
