Read the date, it's over a year old:
Date Public 06/03/2004 Date First Published 06/09/2004 11:30:20 AM
SP2 had already fixed it at the time of the article, and only idiots surf with Active-X enabled anyway. Also, that's not a government website, hence the .org not .gov in the URL. I believe it's a CMU organization.

Perhaps it contains news about the Government, not necessary for it to be .gov.

And I guess they got it from a government site. But I have seen official government sites without the .gov though, but that's rare. Meh, at least the article isn't BS this time.

Way ahead of you. I've forbidden our family to use IE.

FireFox has also had a critical security warning update thing fairly recently,so it's not like IE is the only browser with flaws in. Microsoft do a pretty good job of keeping IE up to date, and to be honest, most of the flaws in IE aren't actually a problem if you follow some basic websurfing precautions. Let's face it, if you're the sort of person who spends all day trawling foreign warez sites while leaving "install on demand" and "activeX" enabled, you're just asking for trouble... on the other hand, to be browsing PB Support with those same settings isn't really going to cause a problem.
