You have a good start to a color scheme going on here, with the reds and blue and gold accent colors.
However, I think the red is overdone. The background and the board cell colors are a very similar red. They blend in with each other. My suggestion, either completely change the background color of the board (to perhaps black), get an image, or go with a darker red. Your forum needs to stand out from the background. I think a darker background would really make it pop.
I like the blue... but perhaps it is a bit bright.. Can you go a bit darker? It would also match his suit a bit more, you know.
Link colors. I would suggest that use different colors for your different member groups so they can be distinguished. Or at least different colors for the thread links and the members. Maybe a dark navy blue for the thread links.
Other than that, I think you've done a really good job with the colors.

Your banner is awesome. It gets the subject matter of your board across right away. Very straight-forward. (Though I'm not sure what those red leaves are for?)
Menu buttons are nice and simple. I would like to see them a bit larger, as they are hard to see, but not too huge. They cant' take over the board.
On/off icons.. a bit dull, but I assume that's because they are "off." : )
Background, as a I said, you could go with an image here. It may sound cliche, but I think a giant spider web would be awesome here. Make it different, you could go with a black background (so it's dark) and have the web be white.. like a negative of the real picture. Doesn't have to be too flashy, just something simple.
Gradients, good and simple. But going with the background, I think a little spider web motif on the side could be really cool if you can manage that.
Overall, good job on the images.
Content:
You do have quite a lot of boards.. I wouldn't add any more at the moment until you gain a larger member base. Topics in every board, that's good.
Board organization, while okay as it is, I can see it being organized a bit differently. Since your focus is the films, that board needs to be near the top. You can keep the guest and info ones at the top, but move the rest below the Films boards. Ex.:
Category: Welcome -Board: Enter the Web -Board: Updates
Category: The Films -Board: Spider-Man -Board: Spider-Man 2 -Board: Spider-Man 3 etc...
Category: Spider-Man in other Genres [or something like that] -Board: The Comics -Board: The Games -Board: The Fans ---Subboard: FanArt ---Subboard: FanFiction
Category: General/Off topic discussion - [since it's non-SpiderMan related] -Board: General Chat -Board: Entertainment Discussion ---Subboard: Movies ---Subboard: Gaming
Category: Behind the Scenes -Board: Suggestions and Support ---Subboard: Advertisements and Affiliation -Board: Staff Board
It's only a suggestion.. I hope you understand what I am getting at here.
Grammar/spelling: I didn't see anything here, so it's all good.
Odds 'n' ends:
Codes all okay to me... I think you've used them well here. I don't really have any more to suggest using.
One thing that I was wondering about.. where it says "Welcome Guest.." It has two periods.. is that intentional?
Also, if you change the member groups link colors, make sure you change those in the info center as well.
