Yup Iceland delivered a new fridge freezer today since our old one had died. They never told us that that we had to wait 4 hours until we could use it. The pervious day we had gone and done our full weakly shop expecting a new fridge freezer to put it into the next day. So most of my morning has been with my Mum knocking on neighbours doors delving our frozen food and then we’ll have to collect it whenever. Iceland should of told us and don’t buy a fridge of them!

You can't use a new fridge immediately because it doesn't start from cold when it's delivered, it needs to warm up (O.o well... you know what I mean ) first. It would have been the same wherever you bought it from.

we had to wait six hours for our fridge freezer to be cold it's common sense that you have to wait for it to cool. you dont stick water in a freezer and then 5 minutes later it's gonna be ice.

i was talking more about the whole, put water in one of these: to make ice, not just throw some water into your new freezer and hope for some cool arctic action

At the shop they said when the old ones taken away just wait about 20 mins and it will come on. Not 4 hours. Don't make us look like no-common-sense-un-frdige-freezer-educated-people.

I think they say 4 hours just to be safe. It could be less, just wait till its cold. You honestly thought you would be able to use it right out of the box and expect everything to stay cold?

If they stated 20 minutes before you can use it then (Making sure this is correct) contact them explaining that an expensive amount of food went bad and you are really unhappy with this.
Lay it on really strong how upset you are and how you are considering asking for further advice etc etc etc.
Do it and see what you get
