I am not sure if this topic belongs in the Graphic Discussion... so if it should be, I would appreciate it if a mod would move this thread to the correct location. Thankies!! When making an image, after you've finished, do you give yourself credit somewhere on the graphic you've just created? I usually put "Banner by Dana" or just "Dana" barely visible/readable in one of the corners. I make it so small (and often blurry) because I remember before i could do graphic designing, I would hate it when one of my requests were filled and you could see the name of the person who made it on the image. I know it's fair, but if at all I credit myself on the image very "hidden". How does everybody else credit themselves? Is there a better way for me to do it without making the requestor unsatisied but still make sure I get credit for my work?

I basically do the same as you. Small, unobtrusive, but at least it's there if somebody tries to rip the image. If it's for a request, I'll add something personal about the user or forum I'm making it for. For example: ©Lexy, for HAV2 or ©Lexy, for Jane If it's not a request item, I just add my tag. Also, I'd suggest adding it in a way that's hard to remove. For example, don't put the text in the border or over a single color background, otherwise people will just crop it out or paint over it. Thankies That's a good point. will do that...

For requests I don't put my name. But if I make a tag personally, I usually put text showing I made it.

I put some text at the bottom of my skins because that's pretty much standard practice. For other types of requests, I don't put anything on it. And for personal pieces, I sometimes put a digital watermark on it just to make sure but most of the time, I get lazy and don't bother.

I don't really bother. Usually, on a personal sig i'll put my name or some other text that has some kind of personal meaning to me or that relates to the text. Otherwise, i don't put copyrights unless its something big like a skin/tutorial.

Recently I've not really been bothering to put my names on my tags cos I can't seem to do decent text atm. And for requests I don't put my name on either though if I created something really good and want it to be associated with my name then I'll just put some small text that blends into the background but is reasonably obvious if you're looking for it.
