Celebrity Feuds [Video Game Coding Project]

I am currently about to begin a huge year long project called "Celebrity Feud" It is a video game sort of like Final Fantasy but with Celebrities fighting. Here is an Example

Character: Kurt Cobain
Weak Attack: Guitar Riff
Strong Attack: Shotgun
Special: He uses Courtney Love as a Shield to take Damage

Character: Tupac
Weak Attack: Switchblade
Strong Attack: Double Pistol Shot
Special: Random Gang Member Drive-By 50/50 Chance, if Gang Members are Blood or Crips, then it depends on who they are going to attack

I was thinking of using mostly Javascript..is that possible?

Possible, yes, but not practical. The only reason to write games in javascript is for the challenge and to be able to say you did it with javascirpt. I suggest learning Flash or something instead.

You should use PHP, ASP, CGI, Perl or some other Server Side Scripting
