Has a fast question . Will most host who use Cpanel Support Linux based scripts, or files Do you already have the hosting package? If so, go into cPanel and look at the left hand side, bottom table (under "General server information"). You can find out what OS the server is running. If it's running Linux then yes, your host will support Linux scripts. Well, actually, let me clarify. If it's a Bash file, chances are you won't be able to run it. But, if it's a PHP or Perl file written to be run on Linux, and it can be used via a web page, then you're all set. You likely won't be able / allowed to run system scripts. |
