html and where to put it

Hi, I am new to the board and having problems getting acclimated. I do know html coding, but I can't seem to put it anyplace, it just shows up as code. I am trying to insert an html form into a thread, that will allow people to just check boxes for tracking purposes. My board is cberheadqrters.proboards56.com We are a horse rescue and need to keep track of many horses, there will be many separate threads under horses, to keep track of each horse, location, vaccinations, adoption interest etc. Any suggestions or help will be appreciated.

If I can't use html, could someone point me toward a good tutorial on UBBC?

You can use HTML in headers/footers.
