When configuring something to your server or domain,and they ask domain name. is that the shared ip address of your server, or is it the one you log in from ?

A domain name is the name you enter to access the site (proboards.com or google.com). If you don't have one you can generally use the IP address of the server. |

so if i have a domain name i dont have to have the ip address, i am trying to configure a local configure file to work on my server, and what is game path ?

Yes, you need an IP address.  CCWorld is saying if you do not have a domain name, you can access the site by the server's IP address [Usually] |
