Ok, I was just on myspace and a found a fake login page, which u log in and your info is sent to someones computer, Heres how u spot a fake login page. Notice the area in which the red ine cirlces. I hope this helps to protect u from hackers and remember, don't be in a rush to login bc if u don't look, u could be sending your info to a hacker. ![](http://i3.tinypic.com/8c35vsy.jpg) and if u were to right click on the fake login page and go to view source, u would automaticly know it's fake just by the how the coding is.

Wow, that's actually a brilliant scheme. Setting up all those subdomains so that it looks like a genuine MySpace page. To people who don't know the difference between a period, ?, &, and = in a URL, it'd actually seem legit.

Best way to avoid fake myspace pages- bookmark the legit one and only use that to log-in. The same goes for anyplace you need to log-in to, especially bank or finance related ones. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

Most pple don't bother looking at there url when they log in, they just log in and act as if it doesn't matter.
another way to know is if u click on somthing and your logged in and it says to log in again.

That's why it's best to log-in only from your bookmarks. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) This is the same concept as going back to your own house at night. There are tons of other ones out there, but it's safest to go where you've been before and know is relatively secure. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

I suggest changing your password frequently, even if u havn't been hacked for security reasons and tell all your friends to let u know asap is they notice something weird going on with your profile.

So, thinking about what you might have on your real myspace apart from your friends list :- maybe some of your proboards, some other sites you may own or be a member of. then of course the fake site would have your email Now imagine that all your passwords are the same as the one you use for email and other sites mentioed above. You've just given them your master key, and will probably end up in support claiming your board was hacked, and you want your board back..... /me waits for the mad rush to change passwords. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

My friend knows a lot about hacking as she... well... ![:-X](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/lipssealed.png) Anyway, I asked about fake log-in pages happening to Proboards forums in the Support Board. I went back today to ask my friend about it. She said that if you refresh a couple of times, it'll go away because it's like a one opportunity kind of thing. She also said that changing your password frequently is a good idea but don't save it in a word document as a Trojan could access your details there. I got freaked out when she started going about those ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) And for your password, have spaces, upper/lower cases, symbols, numbers, basically the lot ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) __ I didn't know about the bookmarks. I always go via my bookmarks anyway... I'll have to ask my friend about that. Anyway, hope that was helpful ;D

I got hacked once, they changed my email, and password on me, and then sent spam to all my friends, It took me about 3 weeks to get it changed as at the time I did not have a camera, to show my Identification. Now I keep that email a secret, and I as well have about 8-15 characters in my password.
