Hi all,
Im new here my board is a month old today. I hope i ain't breaking any rules,so many rules i found,crusing around in here,m not sure what ones go where. Im just an old gal that picked up a new hobby.
Not quite totally computer illiterate,but boy do i got a lot to learn!!! I still got a couple good years left to learn though!!

Are we allowed to put our board name in here?

My board i think 'i hope' anyway is gonna be quite full of fun info type stuff. From a-z!! And i brung some old friends with me to it. Just a fun place for old folks to hang and even old kids {to me a kid is twenty thirty} My own are those kinda youngins!

Seems like a lot of young ones in here and very computer savy ones too!! I feel a bit out of place.

Can someone point me in the direction of where to ask a few {i think} simple questions. I been all over in here an i think i just keep getting lost..

Thanks for the replie and the offer.
Well not totally clear on what im allowed to put in my board? Most places say you can't do this,you can't do that!! I mean i read tos and i don't do those things anyway. All it has is the porn drugs and profanity bit.
But i got links{lots of links} and a space for friends to talk about what they sell on the net. And lots of info sites. I guess thats allowed??
Its more for info and a way for people to conect. I made lots of friends on the net and its been fun helping then learn and find info. And i acumulated loads of links. And i thought id share. I like to share and learn at the same time. What i do know which is mostly collecting,an antiques,puppy stuff,and im a poet. So no telling what my board might end up covering.
Then theres things like html helps and things to help folks on the computer. Just all kinds of helpful information type links.
Ive not found any real rules to running a board that limits things like that,except in tos porn an stuff thats not good for a person anyway. soooo,i hope im doing ok!
See i have not done anything like this before. Virgin boarder i guess you could call me!!
Well im off to see how folks get pics to show up. I did the pic thing and i get a file not a pic. Or is that how its supose to be?? Still a way to share pics. But i see pics on other boards and maybe its just something new i have yet to learn.

You can by all means post those links on your own forum. In fact, you can post any links you want as long as they don't contain porn, anything that breaks international law or the likes. Even better, you can put the link to your forum in your signature here, and hopefully you'll get some members. ;D

I thought i read somewhere there are certain threads in here we ain't allowed to have a siggy? Maybe ive just read to much lately.
Thought about putting it up in the critic section to see what folks think of it. But not sure im ready for that just yet. So many boards ive looked at are so fancy and did up. Mine is just kinda plain. Maybe after i learn a few more bits of html and stuff.

I hope i didn't sound like i was setting an age limit for my board.
Ones never too young or too old to learn something new. Im still learning!! LOL
The sharing of hobbies and information and knowlege, is what my board is mostly about. My DD's joined so i do now have a couple youngins to go along with the older gals i meet in a group and invited.

I want it to be a nice place to kick back and enjoy typed out virtural company,and maybe only if someone wants or needs to they can study up on things in my links.

Its mostly html,antiques,an collectable,and cooking links right now but i ain't done yet. My one friend joked it took her a week to just read the partial list of links i had set up to list!! And i still got a 'few' more!!
Couple years of surfing for info on things ive stocked up!!! Well i need to get back at it i think.
