two hours work down the drain

i spent ahes and ages trying to make a sig that had different links in the same thing. i failed miserably please can someone help me

here is what i got

one thing is they all have different borders one has a grey peice another has a huger peice some dont even have a peace

POST EDITED 9/21/2016 because previous images no longer loaded.

Here are a couple ways to do that. The first way in longer than the other but the outcome will be the same. Both examples were done using Photoshop but is the same, or very similar, in Paint Shop Pro.

 IMPORTANT: Make sure to save your template before you start cropping just in case you need it later.


Create your image however you want. For this example, this is my image.




So you have your image and you want to cut it apart into 4 images. Take your selection tool and make a selection around what you want to be your first image. Like so:



Now CROP the image.



Go to File > Save for web.

UNDO the crop, then INVERT the selection. It will look like this:



At this point, you will crop the selection again.



Select what you want to be your second image.



Crop the image once more.

You will repeat the same process as you did with your first selection until you have each of your four images saved.

I see that the images are no longer flush with each other. They were when I initially wrote this tutorial.

Image Maps are done without cutting the image apart.
