I am trying to use Todge's collapsible category for a really large recipe section at my site at the very bottom of the board:

The category does collapse, but with numerous gradients under the Category title, and it isn't clickable...nothing happens.
Here is the code I'm trying:

I used a similar code a year or so ago and it worked fine, so can't figure out what is going on, except for a code conflict. I DO have a lot of sub-boards in the category, so perhaps that is a problem?
I don't need to use this specific code, it's just one of several I have tried lately, none of which seem to be working. All I want is a code that will allow the category to collapse and then be opened by a member. The thing I really liked about this code is that it tells a member when a new post has been made.
Any ideas?
