First Skin! Need opinions!

Okay so I made my first skin by coming upon things by accident over and over, but when I finished I though it looked pretty darn good for a first, especially since I'm new. Still I know it's not the best, so I want opinions on the images.

Also I can't decide what would make it better, the table on top or to the side. So please give a say in that too.

Nice. Thats pretty good for your first! But, the side header images (hey there!, news! etc) with the yellow/orange sparks kinda.. ruins it in my eyes. Other than that, pretty good for your first.

Thanks I'm glad I'm on the right track. But are the sparkes really effect it that much? I thought they looked kinda nice...

This could use some gradients, even the auto-ones from PB should do Nice first skin.

Nice first skin. As smangii said, gradients would be nice. Maybe not just plain gradients. Scanlines and mebbe a little gloss thing might be cool looking.

Yeah, I could do that, and I would love gradients, but the members want a darker skin, so how would I do two seperate ones for both skins?

i'm pretty sure that gradients are sorted through the skins, so each skin gets to have it's own gradients, meaning that you can make the darker skin with it's gradients to match, and get gradients that go with your current skin for that one. two separate skins = two separate gradients.
