Hi everyone I'm trying to install the Social Networks in Miniprofile code, and the facebook, twitter etc all work fine. I've tried adding in the X-Box Live Gamertags, and it appears fine when I go to modify my profile. However, when I click the button, it says gamertag not found - when editing my miniprofile, I entered my gamertag just as it is, including spaces, but for some reason this code wouldn't allow spaces. I tried to use underscores (just as I did for my own DXXPedia image I added in, it worked fine there) but obviously this literally translates the underscores - they are required on the pedia, but not on the xbox website. Any ideas how I can go about editing this code so that spaces are allowed in entries when modifying profiles? For example, my gamertag is DXX The Rebirth, so I enter this into my miniprofile, with the spaces. The button then attempts to send me to live.xbox.com/member/DXXTheRebirth - it removes the spaces. I've tried with DXX_The_Rebirth as well, but obviously this then tries to send me to live.xbox.com/member/DXX_The_Rebirth - again, not a valid gamertag. I want this to literally try sending it to live.xbox.com/member/DXX The Rebirth Anyone got any ideas at all? I'd really appreciate all the help! Thanks in advance! Jamie

Ooh one more question!
On my website at the moment, I have seperate existing codes for Facebook, DXXPedia and X-Box Gamertags - if I remove them and use this one instead, will that affect things for those who've already entered in their DXXPedia, Facebook and X-Box details in the existing codes?

I'm not sure. It might. If you're using the code with them combined, you should remove the other codes anyway, or decide which route you want to take.

Yeah I will definitely remove the other codes anyway, I'm just wondering whether it's gonna leave a load of stuff in the custom text field - though I can always just go in and remove that if that's the case Once the code is gone though, it should literally just be a case of modifying profiles to clear up whats left in there shouldn't it? EDIT: Just tested it, it does leave a load of code in the personal text field but that just needs removing, easy. Thanks for your help

Another question!
Is it possible to add a new bit to the code where the user's entry appears in the MIDDLE of the URL?
For example, a wordpress blog. These appear in the form of http://(username here).wordpress.com
Is it possible to somehow ensure the information the user enters into their profile appears in the middle of this particular URL such as in this example?
Cheers!

Easiest would be to modify the code so it uses a placeholder where the unique user info should go in the URL instead of assuming it's always at the end of the URL. - "http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=%id%"
- "http://twitter.com/%id%"
- "http://%id%.wordpress.com"
then find the following line in the code: _a.href = Networks[key][3] + value;and change to _a.href = Networks[key][3].replace(/%id%/g,value);It shouldn't affect any existing values already entered by your members yet still add a more flexible network URL format.

OK, sorry for the double post, but I've got another problem. For some reason, the admins' entries display in the miniprofiles, but several members who have filled in the new fields don't have any display on their miniprofile. For example, take a look at this account. He has his youtube and last.fm fields filled in, but they don't display. Mine, on the other hand, display perfectly. Any ideas as to why that might be? I've noticed my other admin's displays correctly too, but as far as I can see so far no non-staff accounts are displaying their icons correctly.

I assume you're adding images such as by modifying their custom titles and using UBBC. I'll also assume the profiles that fail to show the icons all have this or another image in center tags and that is the root of the problem. The code assumes that the only center tag it encounters in the mini-profile would be the one containing avatar and personal text so when it encounters a center tag and checks if it contains the delimited data but finds none it moves on to the next profile... If it's a code adding those images then move it below the social networks code. If it's there through custom title then edit and remove the center tags from around the image.

You could change this line:
var c = td[x].getElementsByTagName("center")[0];
To this:
var c = td[x].getElementsByTagName("center")[td[x].getElementsByTagName("center").length-1];
I search for the center tag because I don't like re-parsing the entire cell like most codes do.
