A:M/C - I have an incredibly serious problem

I can't believe what just happened. I created these forums and I made a new member called dude so that I could log in as dude and make sure that non staff members can't see the boards that are only supposed to be visible to the admin. So I was doing my buisiness and I logged in as dude to make sure that you can't see the "admin only" section when you aren't staff. When I saw that everything was working okay I logged out and logged back in as admin which is what I usually am then I proceded to delete "Dudes" account because I didn't need it any more. Now I can't log on to my own forums because when I click the log in button the computer reads "sorry you have been banned from this forum". It was supposed to be dude that was banned not me (the admin). I don't know how I could have banned myself but thats what happened.

Please help me!

Dude and you was using the same IP address on your board cause you logged in on the same computer with both accounts. when you was gonna delete the Dude account, did you select "ban" (i just want to clear that up) If you did click on ban instead of going into DUDE's account and selecting "delete account" you'll have to find a different computer to login and unban yourself. Go to a friends house to do that. Or contact one of your staff members that has access to the ban list to unban you.

Thank you for your reply, I don't beleive I gave anyother admin access to the ban members so they can't do it for me, but could you please explain how I can unban myself? I would really appreciate it, this is very important.

The only way i know of is to go to another computer, like your neighbors house to login to your admin account and clear your IP from the ban list.

If you can't get to another computer to unban yourself, sit back and wait for a admin here to unban you. They come online at all hours though. Just have to be patient for a reply.

Yup, the admins here can do that. They may ask you for your orginal admin password you choose when you signed up for the board for proof you the main admin. (don't post it here, they will tell you what is needed in the PM you'll send to them)
