I'm trying to decide what to learn next.
Python or Perl (or FRENCH).
No, not french.
I'm leaning towards python right now since I have mostly been doing web oriented stuff (html, css, JS, PHP, etc...) and I want to learn desktop programming, but I want to learn Perl cause, well, its PERL!
Opinions?

If you want to do desktop then do Python, otherwise Perl. I'm sure you've made your own mind up!  |

You'll learn Python very easily if you do try. It's very simple and fun. Perl is also a very nice thing to just have on a resume. |

I've never needed Perl and don't foresee a need for it. Python is pretty nice, and it's cross-platform. Since you don't know any desktop languages, I'd recommend it. You can always learn Perl in the future.
