I'm trying to decide what to learn next.
Python or Perl (or FRENCH).
No, not french.
I'm leaning towards python right now since I have mostly been doing web oriented stuff (html, css, JS, PHP, etc...) and I want to learn desktop programming, but I want to learn Perl cause, well, its PERL!
Opinions?

If you want to do desktop then do Python, otherwise Perl. I'm sure you've made your own mind up!

You'll learn Python very easily if you do try. It's very simple and fun. Perl is also a very nice thing to just have on a resume.

I've never needed Perl and don't foresee a need for it. Python is pretty nice, and it's cross-platform. Since you don't know any desktop languages, I'd recommend it. You can always learn Perl in the future.
