So I recently got Photoshop CS3, and I have absolutely no idea how to use it. I mean I don't even know how to scale a layer. Yeah, it's that sad....So if anyone can help me, that'd be great.

You can scale a layer by going edit>free transform.
Is there anything specific you need help with? If not id recommend doing some tutorials. There are heaps of beginner friendly ones out there.
