For Proboards to gather that sort of info for all boards (over 1.2 million) would be a mammoth task, and therefore is not done.
even if individual boards administered the task, Proboards would still be liable if it wasn't done on one board.
the administrator of a school website and message board (for instance) would have an easier task.

another similar service provides that very same opportunity..i didn't just pull that out of thin air. I'm just miffed because proboards is easier to manage than this other widely used board. If they can use it, it must relinquish some sort of responsibility on their behalf and pass it on to the administrator (me).

It clearly says here on this site:
COPPA allows teachers to act on behalf of a parent during school activities online, but does not require them to do so.

Therefore, if I am using a bulletin board for my class that is a private board, apparently I can..but obviously not here..

The end point, it is really ashame because proboards is proving to be more user friendly..
