Thinking of putting out a premade

Was working on

fullphasertest.proboards.com/index.cgi this weekend [Tis just a test board], wondering what you guys thought of the graphics / layout / feel?

Wanted to get some opinions before I clean it up / send it out.

Tested it in IE8 / Firefox 3.5 / Opera 10ish / Chrome, Will probably change the logo / header text and pass out the PSD if people like it.

Whoa... that is nice, I like how the colors don't clash and seem to flow together, if you made one with a cityish background I'd like one XD

Heh, thank you, I might produce some similar styles here soon, it just takes me having some time and motivation

That's not bad at all. I rather like the concept of it and the color scheme.

Mind if I ask what you were going to do with regards to cleaning it up?

I'm still not quite happy with the final out come thinking of doing something with the section at the bottom with the ad's and the link back to proboards.

Also the code on the back end / instructions for putting it all together aren't quite what I'd like.

I think it's a bit anoying that the second window where the boards and threads are, is comprimized to a smaller size.

The colours are nice and I really do like the background image. I can't do such a layout myself.

Fixed the fixed width issue, that was in place due to previous code changes, but is no longer needed, now sits happily at 70% of the total site width.

Spell suggestions correctly. xD

But besides my anal spelling nazi attack, I love the concept. The picture is beautiful and you make the whole site work. There is very little room for customization, but I don't really mind. I love that on smaller resolutions it still works. The images match up and to me, that is a miracle in itself. Very nicely done. I have no use for such a skin, but if I did, I would surely use it. One of the best I've seen in my life with an image background.

Heh, you may have just found a 3 year old spelling mistake that I've never noticed >.<

In other news, I made some slight updates to the skin, going to have to contact some code authors before I release the full skin coding, but other than that, it should be just about ready to go

Using a Javascripted version of phpbb2's info center, may or may not put that out [thanks to the two folks in the support who figured out how to fix that] The code itself is a bit... wonky, I'm not really sure why it chooses to sometimes operate just fine, and others completely chuck up. Hence, why I am reluctant to release it in the final version.

Anyway, if I can find a more stable version of the code, than I will, in the meantime, this is what the site should look like:

I really like this style of skin. Can a version be made to where the forum 'floats' over the background as well? I never did get used to the full scrolling forums that way. Would love to see it as a scrollable one as well. Nice job on the graphics.

Hehe, I'm afraid I'm not quite that good >.<, I gave it a few shots when I was doing the first round of testing, but the image everyone sees is actually 3 different images, so it gets a little weird to get them to all act like they should.

Thanks to some help in code support, the info center should in theory be fixed, so that should be taken care of ^_^, I'll start sending out the download package to all the big "proboardy" sites
