Opera in Windows and Opera on Mac 0.o

So when I am making sure my programs are cross browser compatible, do you guys know if I have to test the same browser on different OS's? e.g. If it works with safari for windows, will it work with safari for mac?

As far as I know, it should. Browsers use different algorithms to load on different operating systems; however, the algorithm that is used to convert HTML or other web languages to visual content should still be the same.
